The World Doesn't Hate America, the Left Does

One of the most widely held beliefs in the contemporary world -- so widely held it is not disputed -- is that, with few exceptions, the world hates America. One of the Democrats' major accusations against the Bush administration is that it has increased hatred of America to unprecedented levels. And in many polls, the United States is held to be among the greatest obstacles to world peace and harmony.

But it is not true that the world hates America. It is the world's left that hates America. However, because the left dominates the world's news media and because most people, understandably, believe what the news media report, many people, including Americans, believe that the world hates America.

That it is the left -- and those influenced by the left-leaning news and entertainment media -- that hates America can be easily shown.

Olberboy was ranting that the defeat of Howard in Australia was “proof” that Bush was poison to our allies. However, he didn’t mention the ouster of leftist non-allies in Germany, France, etc. I can only stand to watch that brain-damaged peacock for about 30 seconds at a time, so I don’t know what else he said. I did notice he had some failed 3rd-rate comedian as a “guest”, and they traded stupid Bush jokes. Remember the fat little gay toad everybody made fun of on “The King of Queens”? He’s just as wimpy without a script.

The world hates the world. There are cross border rivalries all across the globe. If anyone is concerned that the world hates America they are seriously wasting their time. Read a good book, paint a picture, plan a vacation. Stop wasting your time.

I read this post.

There was a poll in France that said that around 40% of the French liked the USA. The interesting part of the poll was that 35% of the French liked France. They liked us better than themselves.

I agree, polls about which people like which country are worthless. Most don’t care.
