Score one for the Netroots! Newsweek has just announced that Markos Moulitsas, namesake and founder of the Daily Kos website, will be a contributor for the 2008.
Here's the statement from Newsweek editor Jon Meachem, which seems to anticipate some sort of reaction from a disgruntled element:
"We have always sought to represent a diversity of views in Newsweek, and we think Markos will be a great part of that tradition. He will give our readers in print and online a unique perspective. As always, our job is to create the most energetic and illuminating magazine possible, and Markos will help us do that as the campaign unfolds."
Illuminating, indeed.

What Newsweak considers to be a “diversity of views”:
Left, Lefter, Far Left, and Loony Left.

Is that brazen or what! They don’t even pretend they are objective anymore. Newsweek is overdue for the tar pit anyway.
To: MovementConservative
He will give our readers in print and online a unique perspective. Wow! A liberal-left perspective presented in Newsweek! How UNIQUE!
Sheesh.

To: MovementConservative
LOL!! As though the Newsweak leftists were not already devoid of credibility...... now they bring in the vicious, nasty, excremental head KosFreak himself??? Yeah, that will do wonders for the quality and credibility of their output.

Maybe Newsweek should shift to hard-core porn instead. It would be just as energetic and far more interesting.

4.00 is expensive parakeet toliet paper.
They are hoping that the Koys Boyz rush their little paws over to Newsweek’s website and boost the ad revenue...
These folks are kind of sorry really.

In a related story, the Marxists in the Harvard school of Political Science have decided to bring in a Stalinist professor to get more ideological balance in the department.

It will help them reach more of that desirable anti-Semitic, foul-mouthed parents basement dweller demographic they've been craving.

Actually, I see it as a ‘smart move’ on the MSM’s part.
They will probably try more of this.
If the story about the HRC staff ‘telling’ Drudge that they told Blitzer to play T-ball with Hillary during the debate is true, then that makes Markos the second one to be ‘bought off’.
By ‘leaking’ the story to Drudge, they are setting up Blitzer to ask serious questions, which Hillary will have prepared response for, and she comes off looking like she fought the BIG BAD MEN and WON.
Drudge gets more attention to his website for having had sole source on the story, just like the Clintons used to do with the MSM all the time.
Now, by putting Markos on their staff, he will be ‘under their control’.
The Clinton machine is trying to gain control of websites that have a high volume of visitors, and if they can’t gain control, they will try to destroy them.
Like they are trying to do to RUSH, to FR.

Thanx. Will DUFU him at Newsweak. BTW, has anybody noticed how KOmmie KOs has been defending Hillary lately after being very critical of her last year? Hmmmm.... I wonder how much blogola (oops, I mean political consultation fees) is flowing into the coffers of KOs’s very very special friend, Unknown Jerome?
