The men worked for Defense Training Systems, a unit of International Logistics Services Corp. of Anchorage, Alaska.

I'm surprised Defense Training Systems doesn't have their own private equipment to transport their workers.

That would be unnecessary and expensive, with the cost passed along to taxpayers. We put our military service people on public conveyances for most of their travel within the US and a lot of their travel outside.
