DCCC wants volunteers to capture "Macaca moments" [how to respond]
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ^ | 10/30/07 | Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee

Posted on 10/30/2007 11:27:24 AM PDT by lonewacko_dot_com

With 2008 fast approaching, the DCCC is urgently mobilizing our Rapid Responders to be our eyes and ears on the campaign trail. Our goal is to make sure that every time -- anywhere in America -- when a Republican crosses the line with one of their attacks, someone is there to capture it.

The next time a Republican has a 'Macaca Moment,' will you be there to capture it? The power to hold Republicans accountable for their lies, distortions, and attacks belongs to you.

Keep an eye on your local newspaper and your Member of Congress' web site to see when they are having their next public event. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Send Us Your Video Please be our eyes and ears on the frontlines and join our effort today. Upload your video to a video-sharing site like YouTube...

Note that they just want smears, not a discussion of policy.

You can respond by going to campaign appearances and asking the candidates difficult questions about policy matters and then uploading their responses to Youtube. Immigration is a great choice since that's where the Dems are weakest.

This will have at least three impacts:
1. It will show up the DCCC's smear attempts.
2. It will show up the candidates and the huge flaws in their policies.
3. It will show up the MSM when regular citizens ask the questions they're afraid to ask.

There are some questions you can ask here.

get a restraining order and arrest them for stalking. That will put a stop to it.

If politicians would speak their true beliefs and were ready to fight for them - wouldn’t this be a good thing?

Why, they could fight for truth!

Like they have to ask for volunteers. I bet there are full time operatives on each candidate. And I hope the Republicans are doing the same.

The campaigns better make sure that the candidates are being constantly videoed while at public appearances. If the lefties record something and then cut and paste things out of context you need to be able to show the whole video to expose their lies.

This sounds not unlike the informer networks that old Soviet apparachiks used to intimidate dissenters. Quite fitting, given the source.

You Tube is going to be a huge factor in the next election and we’d better be prepared to fight back this time around. Allen lost becasue he crumbled and spent weeks apologizing and equivocating. He should have fought and fought hard. Instead he seemed weak and unfocused and an embarrassment.

You got that right! There’s plenty of ammo out there...we just have to be willing to use it. We can’t stay above the fray...we just make ourselves great big unarmed targets.

Questions the MSM are afraid to ask:

"Hillary, have you ever had a lesbian experience?"
"Hillary, have you ever had an abortion?"
"Hillary, have you ever had an affair outside of marriage?"
"Hillary, who fronted you $12,000 to invest in cattle futures?"
"Hillary, who maintained and monitored your account in cattle futures which catapulted to $100,000?"
"Hillary, did you ever pay back the unknown subject who fronted you $12,000 from the cattle futures account that jumped up to $100,000, a better performance than Warren Buffett ever experienced?"
"Hillary, do you have anything to day to Juanita Broadderick, Kathleen Willy, or any others who have accused your husband of sexual assault?"

I am sure that the Republicans do not want to catch a Democrat saying something stupid.

Great idea!

And then the Democrats will get restraining orders against Republicans that are filming Democratic candidates!

Once a couple Republicans are arrested that will stop it too!

“when a Republican crosses the line with one of their attacks, someone is there to capture it”

And, if they don’t say anything controversial, we’ll, with the help of our friends in the Lamestream media, create the controversy for them — and us.

Meanwhile Democrats like Joe biden can say outrageous, erroneous things and *mean it* and do it right in front of mainstream media cameras and reporters and catch absolutely no flak for it. That same “news” media will even cover for them.

Those type of questions will actually help her rather than hurt her. I'm suggesting asking questions about her policies, like this one. Note also that Bill Richardson and John Edwards are much more likely to have Q&A sessions than Hillary or Obama.

When are our guys in washington going to fire back on this garbage instead of just rolling over on it? What is wrong with them? why do they just take this crap? don’t they know how to respond? The Dem’s do allof the smearing, what is wrong with the GOP for not going on the offense?

It drove me nuts hearing him apologize over and over again.

Each time he did, it just allowed the democrats and their allies in the media to make the snowball bigger.

If you feel you have to make an apology for something you say do it once, and move on. Make it “old news” fast.

He’s a good man it pained me to watch him repeatedly throw Webb a bat to smack him around with.

I doubt that it was a Republican who filmed it, but I saw a striking "Macaca Moment", featuring Obama. It was a video, of the people on the stage, at a Democrat political event, while the National Anthem was being played. Almost everyone, including Hillary, but not Obama, had a hand over the heart, during the Anthem. Obama kept his hands clasped over a body part more associated with the other Clinton.

“That same “news” media will even cover for them.”

That’s because they’re all fellow travelers — racists that pretend that the only racists are Republicans.

I saw that. Fox did play it but that doesnt mean that it got picked up any where else.

Do you remember the shot of W hugging the little girl at a rally who lost her father in Iraq? It was an honest show of emotion from W and I think that one photo splashed on the internet did a lot to get him elected. JMO.

Right, this would be good for both sides. Imagine candidates telling one group they support something and another they oppose it getting caught. I think it's called accountability.

It's up to voters to separate the wheat from the chafe.

You're right, we certainly don't want anyone hearing their actual words. Heaven forbid politicians should be accountable for what they say in public.

This is part of the new play book and both sides will use it. I just don't see that as a bad thing.

Nooooo, we can't have that. Discussion of policy on either side might actually convince someone. Besides, it's more interesting to find out if she is a lesbian or he taps his shoes in bathrooms. /sarc
