With Hillary Clinton surging in the polls and Democrats knifing Bush's foreign policy and praising Bill Clinton's, it's time for a reality check on a supposed triumph: Team Clinton oversimplified a complex situation in Bosnia and ended up aiding and abetting Muslim extremists.

That's the conclusion of John Schindler, a professor at the U.S. Naval War College and a former National Security Agency analyst. In his new book, "Unholy Terror: Bosnia, al-Qa'ida, and the Rise of Global Jihad," Schindler reappraises the 1992-1995 Bosnian war and America's decision to come to the defense of Muslims in their conflict with Serbs. (...) Both sides committed atrocities, Schindler notes, but those of Muslims generally went unreported. For example, "The number of Christians murdered in Sarajevo during the war by Muslim military and police, right under the noses of Western journalists, is at least in the many hundreds and probably in the low thousands. Between 1992 and 1995, some 1,300 Serb civilians were liquidated by Muslim troops based at Srebrenica; this was the precursor to the infamous July 1995 Serb offensive against that town."(...)

The media also slept, either alone or with the enemy. "Western journalists failed to note that the (Bosnia) Muslim ruling party, while portraying itself as thoroughly democratic and impressively multicultural, in fact was run by and for Islamists of a radical bent, whose ideal society was revolutionary Iran. (...) Many of the Bosnian jihadists -- including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the al-Qaida planner of Sept. 11 -- went on to attack Western Europe or the U.S. Bosnia itself "has continued its seemingly relentless slide into crime, corruption and extremism. Radical Islam has a stronger hold there than ever before,

Remember to Include Gen. Westley Cluck-Cluck in that overflowing and erupting septic tank.. And yes I meant to call him Westley after the Whimp-Cry Baby in Gone with the Wind.

First, what else is new, and second, it's a great slogan, creed, and subtitle for the Drive-By Media.

Most (>90%) of what the Clintons have done and will continue to do (unless we can incarcerate ‘em) is coated with slime and has only the Clinton’s interest as a motivation.

I can’t recall any action that was solely for the good of our Country.

Semper Fi,

We deliberately create these kinds of groups and states repeatedly. How often do we have to repeat these charades before people finally recognize them?

There no money trail from the Clintons back to Al Qaeda — only their modus operandi has always been to take money from America’s enemy and then implement policy in a way hostile to America’s interests.

Perhaps whoever knew the truth about the money behind this fiasco never lived to see the 21st century.

I got off the freeway today in downtown LA to go to an old favorite sandwich shop, strange for a saturday, traffic was all backed up, turns out it was an anti-war/(anti bush) protest.

A mob of the goofy looking hippies were crossing the street at the light with their ant-bush signs and I honked,

the whole crowd looked over and gave the peace sign as if I was honking in solidarity.......I stuck my head out the window and yelled in a booming voice " where were you when Clinton was bombing Sarajevo from 30,000 feet ? I didn't see it on TV either....idiots !,....go home ! the Iraq war is over anyway ! we won....!( my throat still hurts)

you should have seen them turn all white and confused looking !

some cops standing there started busting up laughing

you know, I think what the left renamed "the peace sign" was, prior to the late sixties, known as "V-for-Victory."

Am I wrong about that? Just like the left to spin something good into something spineless.

So they say every truth has two sides to it. I persoanlly am distrustful o fnatioanlists and fundamentalists of all religions, which in the balkans would include everybody ethnic group involved. I never did trust relgious zeal of any kind any think, whether jewish, islamic or christian or even buddhist, it has always done more bad than good.

That said, it could be that Milosevic was a genocider, the massacre of bosniaks, (perhaps I should say alleged), was tantamount to a mini holocaust and there would still be no excuse for this. Fighting on the side of islamic fundmaentalism is bad for anyone who isn’t ideologically supportive of muslim brotherhood and al qaeda. Christians, jews, and especially ordinary muslims who don’t want to get involved-as events in bihac showed, Bosnia was another example of this as well.

Yeah, Bosnia and Kosovo went Much, MUCH better than Iraq and Afghanistan are going now.

The killings (by Mil. & company) did happen.

BUT - they were (deliberately!) exaggerated by the MSM (from 100 killed, to 1000 killed, to 10,000 killed, to 100,000 affected, then THAT got reported and talked about as if it were 100,000 killed!

All this FAVORABLE attention in a three week period after impeachment: beginning days AFTER Hillary convened a eyes-only/invitees only (no outsiders!) week-long meeting the White House with the national press. No conservative writers allowed. No comments. No stories at all.

Invitees (MSM anchors!) in the press meeting directly with Clinton and the Sec State secretly.

Of course, we didn’t find those 100,000 mass graves that used as the justification for bombing our former allies in Belgrade...until we invaded Iraq and found them full of Saddam’s victims.

“....the Iraq war is over anyway ! we won....!”

Absolutely. The US military wins. Again.

Though many, even here on FR, don’t believe that.
