...former President Bill Clinton told off some 9/11 truthers that were heckling him during a 50-minute speech he was giving at a fundraiser for his wife in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tuesday.
Sadly, he didn't say anything about Rosie O'Donnell.
However, as reported by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, what the former President did say -- as shouts came from the crowd about 9/11 being an inside job -- was rather delicious...Early in his speech, Clinton was sporadically heckled. One heckler shouted that 9/11 was a fraud, and Clinton bristled. "No, it wasn't a fraud. I'll be glad to talk about it if you'll shut up and let me talk." The heckling continued, and he told another heckler "these people did not come here to hear you speak. If you don't have any self-control, we can deal with that."
When a third called 9/11 an "inside job," Clinton snapped back "How dare you? I live in New York, and I know who did that. You guys have got to be careful, or you're going to give Minnesota a bad reputation."
Wow. In the span of a week, I've agreed with Bill Maher and Bill Clinton.

Many people on this forum have warned the Dems that this would happen to them. It’s happening to a lot of them, not just BJC. You must remember that most of these people were not even teenagers yet when Clinton was in office.

Nobody gets into a Hillary Clinton fundraiser without being completely vetted by the Clintons (that means their background was vigorously checked, for those of you in Rio Linda). This thing was staged all the way. And it is pretty pathetic.

The demeanor of the hecklers don’t match with the behavior of other hecklers. They were much too cooperative. Usually these guys go down swinging. Troublemakers are usually worked up and prepared to be attacked.

Alright, maybe not a total setup but the same thing happened with Bill Mahar last week. The Troofers are may be making a concerted effort now to disrupt their makers but that doesn't mean they can just waltz in to see Beelzebubba just like that. Was Sister Souljah a setup? Probably not but the Clintons certainly made the most of it.

Clinton can’t side with the Truthers because most of the public will never buy their claims, and so Hillary would appear to be a kook...and if the Twin Towers were brought down by explosives, that would fuel the suspicions that the Oklahoma City bombing was similar...not that that many people outside of Oklahoma remember that event.

Bill was a lot more forceful with Republicans/journalists who dared ask improper questions. His tempered response “How-Dare-You” is not the sort of response Bill gave to anything. Profanity and Secret Service bulls on your back were more common.
Maybe he’s been preparing for it whenever, wherever it happened so they could avoid a “Don’t Taz Me Bro”-Kerry moment. But this was not an off the cuff response (even if no one put the protester up to it).

I’m not sure what to believe with this stuff. My wife is convinced it’s a ploy to make Hillary look more attractive to moderate dems and RINO’s. I don’t for a minute put it past Billary to cook this whole thing up to make them more palatable to certain voters, especially with the weak GOP line-up.
You make a good point. I was not even suspicious until my wife pointed out that it could be a set-up. But looking back, you’re right. He (Bill) seemed to be completely ready to respond to the hecklers, and they did seem much less rabid than usual.
I think it was totally staged.
