Martin Luther King's “Dream” has fallen by the wayside. His dream of having blacks judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin is no closer to being realized than it was more than 40 years ago when he first articulated his vision of a color-free future.
This is not, as current black leaders assert, because racism is alive and well in America. It is because the current politically correct orthodoxy has condemned any type of judgment. Any judgment is now off limits. (Unless you're one of the lucky few who does the judging.) Judging others has been deemed at best, hurtful. At worst, a hate crime. Thus, any reference that challenges the liberal template of race, such as, say, having an opinion, has become a social crime with very real penalties.
The latest casualty of this perverse policy is one of the world's most highly regarded scientists, Dr. James Watson, who won a Nobel Prize for the discovery of the structure of DNA. The wrath of the left has descended upon Dr. Watson for daring to opine that intelligence may vary among different races.

Athletic ability certainly varies among races. Take a look at the NBA, NFL and NCAA football and basketball. If you’re a honky, you’re relegated to playing water polo or field hockey.
I overheard a conversation between high-school counselors the other day where one was filling in the other on the importance of convincing “mixed-race” students to specify the most advantageous race on their college applications so they get the most benefits.

As much as I loathe these, and no matter how “voluntary” they say they are, they are used for quotas, segregation and affirmative action. I always put “Native American” as it is true: I was born here. When they say “..(insert “disadvantaged group here) encouraged to apply, it really means “don’t bother if you are a white male.”
Look up the definition of “hispanic” and try to figure out the reason for that one. A “race” based on a language?

Watson should either publish his scientific study in support of his claims, or STFU.
Intelligence has been proven to vary, with Ashkenazi Jews and certain Orientals leading the pack. Of course intelligence isn’t eveything. It didn’t help the Jews keep Hitler from cutting their numbers nearly in half in only 4 years. But the critics of such studies never offer countering studies or evidence of their own to refute folks like Dr. Watson...only charges of “racism”.
I refuse to accept this. When I come up against someone telling other's that they have no right to judge someone's aberrant behavior, I immediately claim the right to judge for myself. If challenged, I assert the right to judge belongs to everyone and must be exercised if we are to maintain any community standards at all.
Aging torchbearers sometimes either become desperate in their search for someone whom they think can carry it forward or disillusioned at the thought that perhaps they are the last true worthy bearer and stumble, fearful of the light going out and a life’s work being reduced to but a flickering flame they cast it into the darkening crowd vainly - their final blaze of glory.
Speaking as a gay, dyslexic transitional who has two Native-American great-grandparents, I’ve learned that using a wheelchair and dark sunglasses during interviews makes a big impression.

I agree. It drives me nuts that so many people no longer understand what a “race” is as opposed to a “tribe”, “Ethnic group” or religion.
If you stop and ask yourself this question;
“What race is a Hispanic/Arab/Muslim/Jew/Presbyterian, etc., then you start to get a clue. I suppose that the teaching of Anthropology is now not PC.

If you were a celebrity or educational or political ‘elite’, you’d adjust your thinking pretty darn quick. If you’re in the public eye, believe me, you are held to account for any thinking that strays from the accepted orthodoxy. Your job, your reputation and your cocktail party creds depend on it.
