If I could get our entire family to move there...and I plan to make the attempt, I’d do it in a heart beat.

It took up 10 years of patient planning before we made it to central Texas. After two years, I couldn't be happier.

"I find WND often prints a very interesting headline and then leaves out a significant detail or two."

I find just the opposite: Worldnetdaily stories cover all the necessary details, unlike most other news sources. This story is no exception. Had you read the story you would have all the facts.

“Oh please. “

Sorry to hear that.

I think your situation is pretty rare, tho. My experience was just the opposite.

Usually if inflict at least a little bit of pain on a bully they will leave you alone.

“We told our son that he would NOT be in trouble at home if he ended up kicking some bully butt at school but the school made it very clear that he would be suspended if he got into a fight, no matter who started it.”

Yeah, I know a family who recently had a son suspended for the same reason. But they went to the school and caused a stink because their son had reported the bulling previously, so they managed to get the home suspension changed to an in-school suspension so he could keep up with his schoolwork. The bullying kid who started it was sent home on suspension.

Yes, it’s very different from what it used to be. Used to be you could take care of things like this with a playground fight where no one really got hurt, then the principal would paddle both boys and that was the end of it. No so anymore.

Aren’t most public schools guilty of “educational neglect”?

How about the entire W.D.C. school district?

Literacy rate?
Drop-out rate?
Graduation rate?
Percent going on to college?
SAT scores?

In fact, we regularly see threads here on FR making fun of public schools for calling certain things bullying.

Yup. There is something wrong with this story.

Was anything done about the students who harassed her daughter and drew those pictures?
