Politics: We earlier ascribed Congress' move to declare the Ottoman Turks' slaughter of 1.5 million Armenians a genocide to simple Democratic incompetence. It may, however, be something much darker.

Based on the actions of Democrats in Congress recently, it's hard not to think that they actually want the U.S. to lose the war in Iraq — and will do almost anything to see it happens.

Unfortunately, they've run up against these headlines from Iraq in just the last couple of days: "Al-Qaeda In Iraq Reported Crippled" (Washington Post), "Shiite Leader Makes Reconciliatory Gesture, Visits Sunni Anbar Province" (Associated Press), and "Iraq Sees Dramatically Low Death Toll" (Associated Press).

The U.S. sure seems to be winning. Everywhere you go these days you see — dare we say it? — good news coming from Iraq.

Trying to avoid using the "T-word"?

If I remember correctly, it was Turkish planes that airlifted our Hostages from Iran. It was later found that an extra plane on the ground was full of Turkish commandos ready to fight to get the hostages if necessary.

Someone later commented that it was good thing we had not pressed the Armenian question at that time as some had wanted us to do.

Just because Turkey denied the United States at our time of need at the beginning of the Iraq war, doesn't mean we don't need to be kissing their bottoms now.

Shame on the Democraps.

The last paragraphs bears repeating:

Democrats have tried desperately to derail the Iraq war — by voting for "immediate" troop withdrawals, and playing games with the Pentagon's budget during a time of war. They called Gen. David Petraeus a liar. They've attacked private sector contractors in Iraq, like Blackwater and Halliburton. It didn't work

Now, we're winning the war, and they're desperate.

Whatever charms their domestic policies might have for you, the Democrats can't be trusted with national security. What they've done recently verges on disloyalty at a time of war. We hope voters are watching, and remember.

If she can’t stop the funding she will simply stop the supplies

according to Sec Gates, 70% of all air cargo sent to Iraq passes through or comes through Turkey, as does 30% of fuel and virtually all the new armoured vehicles designed to withstand mines and bombs

according to Ilnur Cevik, “People like Pelosi seem to think that just because Turkey made many threats but could not do anything on Kirkuk when the Kurds occupied the city it in 2002 in an example for Turkish impotence.

However, they are dead wrong.

Turkey does what it has to even at the cost of suffering an American arms embargo. Pelosi and friends have to remember the Turkish military intervention on Cyprus in 1974.

They have to see that the Armenian issue is not just a simple process of recognizing an act of genocide committed by some people against the others in 1915. They have to see that the recognition of such an act will allow the Armenians to hold the Turkish Republic accountable to what the Ottoman Turks allegedly did a century ago and will make it pay economically and politically. The Armenians are after blood not just the recognition of their historical mishaps.”

According to me, Pelosi Understands this and it is sick.

Turkey should condemn the party that supported slavery and gave rise to the KKK, the Democrat party.
