Jimmy Carter: I Wouldn't Change a Thing About My Presidency
DC Examiner ^
| 10/11/07
Posted on 10/11/2007 5:58:21 AM PDT by YourAdHere
Jimmy Carter says in an interview that he wouldn't have changed a thing about his presidency. He claims that if he had only had "one more helicopter," he could have freed those hostages and thus won re-election. But he adds, if he had won a second term, he probably would not have the Carter Center today. So he says, it's a good thing.
I'd love for him to explain this logic to the people he ignored for 444 days.

Funny...I’d change EVERYTHING about his presidency. I really cannot understand why politics seems to be very largely inhabited by folks who find the operation of a light bulb to be beyond their comprehension. This guy is the king of the maroons.

the man is the democrat attack dog for the election.
Carter fought against Reagan by going to the USSR, Carter is fighting against the republicans.
We need to PUBLICLY spank this fraud.
He is the biggest failure as post president and president.

Jimmy Carter was the Bill Clinton prototype.
A southern fried liberal hiding in a moderate cover.
Jimmy “lusted in his heart” after women.
Billy Boy took action on that issue.

Jimmy Carter says in an interview that he wouldn't have changed a thing about his presidency. Since Jimmy's utter failure as president led to a monumental landslide victory for Reagan and gave Ronnie the political capital to initiate the Reagan tax cuts and the ensuing economic growth, I agree that Carter shouldn't have changed a thing about his presidency.

I have been priveledged to know a few truly good, Christian men. Not a one of them have been so good that they did not do or say things they regretted and would change if they could. Is that treasonous old fool saying that he is perfect, or just too stupid to see his many mistakes? Or was the damage he did and is doing to this country actually his goal?

444 days, and 489 electoral votes for his opponent. That says it all.
I saw another headline saying Carter bashes president. I would stand up and cheer (and send $100 to the GOP) if a headline were to read “President bashes Carter.” It’s about time. GWB is too much of a class act though.

A southern fried liberal hiding in a moderate cover.
Whoa now, I'm a southerner and I didn't vote for that idiot!!
Not all southerners are hiding moderates, he was and still is a liar and an extreme liberal leftist...
The media needs to stop allowing this jerk to defend his Presidency, it is was it is and that it was a failure..
He's been in England on the BBC complaining on how bad the USA has treated prisoners.
I wonder what part of terrorists doesn't he get?

OMG......I can think of pages of things I would like to change...and his presidency was when I was between 9 & 13 years old. When Reagan was elected to office the announcement came over the loudspeakers that Ronald Reagan was going to be the next president of the United States of America (conservative town) and the entire school erupted into applause and cheering.
Dear Jimmy.....even 7th & 8th graders thought you sucked and all we had were 4 tv channels at that time.
