Hillary Talks About 'It'

In an interview in yesterday's Washington Post, Hillary Clinton said she had contributed to the country's mood of bitter partisanship and wants to "put an end to it." The senator hedged her words for future revision by referring to the problem throughout the interview only as "it."

Thus, she spoke of "having gone through it, having been on the receiving end of it and in campaigns that were hard fought maybe on the giving end of it . . ." When the reporters pressed her to explain her views on polarization, she said: "I've talked about it a lot, and I think I will continue to talk about it in a lot of different ways."

It's a start. I would like to put a question to the senator: Would you defend Rush Limbaugh's speech rights against the pressure that was brought upon him on the floor of the Senate by your colleagues Harry Reid and Ken Salazar? Colorado's Sen. Salazar went so far last week as to say he'd support a Senate vote to "censure" Mr. Limbaugh. Rhymes with censor.

When Sen. Reid attacked Mr. Limbaugh on the floor of the Senate, some felt that Mr. Limbaugh was a big boy and perfectly capable of defending himself. I'm not so sure. If Mr. Limbaugh and his critics at Media Matters want to have a street fight, that's their business. But Sens. Reid and Salazar aren't just a couple of opinionated guys; they are agents of state authority, and they were leaning hard on Mr. Limbaugh. If you are Media Matters, if you are a man or woman of the Left, does state pressure on someone's political speech discomfort you? Or is it a welcome, even defensible, repression of harmful right-wing speech?

“it”? they must be talking about the blatant obnoxiousness of the revolutionary socialists in congress whose psychosis is called “fighting for the children”.
(they’re not fighting for anything except power built upon the bodies of millions of aborted children.)

the tragedy is that more than half of the “american electorate” is going to vote for democrat treachery.

I will grant her the humanity to feel from time to time a weariness from ceaseless and remorseless partisan warfare. But I would not trust her and would never expect her to stay her hand.

Any senator who launches a pre-meditated attack on any innocent American should resign.

Hillary already thinks of herself as the next President. She knows very well that conservatives could sink her legacy, which she is already constructing as the USA’s first woman president.
So we can expect many more of these calls for Kumbaya from her and her cohorts, such as her lapdog Bob Beckel on Fox this morning. To Democrats, bipartisanship always means giving up one’s opposition to the socialist agenda. If conservatives fall for this over and over, they are the epitome of the old saying about insanity.

They’ve got some nerve talking about common ground and ending the bickering. Almost every statement they make has to include shots at the far right, extreme right, intolerant right, vicious right wing attacks, Republicans want children to get sick, and you know the rest of the nonsense. This isn't the "IT" the whole country wants to know about.

The real "IT" is how could your husband be doing IT behind your back and you not know what the whole country knew. How can you deal with foreign dictators and not be fooled?

The Democrats have become the party of hatred and vitriol, especially since the Clintons emerged on the national scene in 1992. Not that there wasn't some bitter partisanship before (think the early Richard Nixon, or the Democrats during Watergate) but they ratcheted it up to a new level, and the Democrats by and large have followed their lead.

Her idea of ending partisan bickering is to shut down the other side so that only their views are heard...after all it's only the "vast right-wing conspiracy" and assorted racists, sexists, homophobes and rich white men that don't agree with them. If they can get "hate crimes" legislation through then it can become a criminal offense to criticize any of their sacred cows.

“It” reminds me of Steven King’s rendering, but also the evil of Madeleine L’Engle’s novel, “A Wrinkle in Time”. In either case, ‘it’ is not far removed from what I imagine Hillary Rodham Clinton to be. IT. She is IT. Charles Wallace, the innocent savant in ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ fell under the spell of IT, despite his natural superior intellect. It was love that came to the rescue and saved him in the end. Hillary with her FBI records and White Water records scattered around the Whitehouse, combined with her selective memory, remind me of IT. We’ll all be bouncing balls in unison if IT gets elected.
