LBJ had the law changed in Texas only for him so he ran both for Texas Senator and Vice President on the same ballot!

Accuracy is important. Dole was hounded to resign as minority leader. He surprised everyone by resigning from the senate in total.

And what about the NY voters that she assured she would serve her full term? That is the question I would like to hear asked.

Joe Liberman did not resign from the Senate, and he was running for the dRAT VP slot behind Gore.

And what about the NY voters that she assured she would serve her full term? That is the question I would like to hear her asked. One of the reasons why she got 600,00+ fewer votes this last time around...
And here are three other questions for her:
1) Would she reauthorize the EO banning assassination?
2) Would she put the Gorelick wall back in place?
3) Would she try to repeal the Patriot Act?

Bob ‘Its My Turn, Damnit!’ Dole is the primary reason Bill Clinton got a second term.
And his decision gave us the worlds only living spine donor, Trent Lott, as SML during the impeachment mess, which Lott refused to address responsibly.

Actually she was slick with that one. She said that in 2000 she would serve her full term, which she did to 2006. In 2006 she did not make that same claim.

One of the reasons why she got 600,00+ fewer votes this last time around...Why you keep pimping this meaningless factoid is beyond me. The point is that Hillary got a MUCH HIGHER PERCENTAGE of the vote in 2006 than 2000. That's what counts.
You're painting this misleading picture that Hillary has gotten weaker - not stronger - since 2000, when all evidence points to the contrary.

Kerry set the standard for that.
Democrats don’t resign from ANYTHING, anymore.
Laws and rules that apply to the rest of us Sheeple, simply do not apply to National Democrats anymore, they have risen above them...

If her presidential aspirations are foiled, she will unseat Reid and become Senate Majority leader.

Hillary
2000 > Wins with 55% of the vote
Hillary
2006 > Wins with 67% of the vote
Don’t final percentages count more than number of votes themselves?
In the earlier scenario she scored just over HALF THE VOTE; in the latter (more recent, mind you) scenario she scored MORE THAN 2/3 OF THE VOTE.
How is she getting weaker?
The trend is not in our favour. If you believe the trend is in our favor, how do you figure?
That 600,000 or 700,000 less figure from 2000 is a hollow statistic, IMHO.
And how can we predict turnout in ‘08? IMO, it’s pointless to compare her turnout in ‘06/’00 to ‘08 since two turnouts were for Senator and the other (future one) will be for POTUS.

I also live in NYS, and I'm not sure what you see or where you see it. Regarding Hillary's lower vote total in 2006, the TOTAL votes cast in that election were nearly 2.3 million fewer than in 2000. A lot of people--both Democrats and Republicans--stayed home because they knew Hillary and Spitzer were both going to win in runaways.
And the latest poll from Quinnipiac (insert obligatory "any poll that doesn't say what I want it to say is a Democrat plot" rant here) has Hillary beating Giuliani in New York by 52-41 percent. So either a whole bunch of upstate New Yorkers are in favor of Hillary, or the folks in New York City who supposedly love Rudy for saving them from crime and for his heroic leadership after 911 don't really like him all that much.

If only his major constiuency, the deceased, had been accomplished enough submit write in ballots, LBJ would not have HAD to modify the law.
But alas it was all they could do to “show up” at the polls in alphabetical order.

"I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector [oil] in the entire economy, that they are being watched."
"What I want to do is take those profits and apply them to alternative energy."
Karl Marx or Frederick Engels said none of these things; Hillary Clinton said them all.
