But, he said people judge him by how he dresses.

I had a job interview today. I wore a suit.

The car wash is his day job. He's also trying to make a go as a rapper.

Fortunately, I set the bar higher.

I'll tell you exactly what has changed in the last couple of years. Cosby's rant coincided almost to the day it was announced that Hispanics had surpassed blacks as the nation's largest minority.

I strongly suspect that many of these black Americans watched Congress and the White House do everything in their power to provide legal status to a horde of 15-20 million foreign invaders last summer, and they've only now started to realize just how inconsequential they are to the future of this nation.

Bill Cosby is one of my favorite comedians ever. Last year he came to my college, and a few silly liberals were complaining about his comments about black people (since then they’ve had John Ashcroft and Justice Roberts to complain about too lol) but me and my friends were sat in line at the campus box office in order to get good tickets - we all got front-row seats =)

I think you may be partially right. These are younger men that I was referring to though.

“...she and her son are scorned for acting like they are white. Black folks worst enemy these days isn’t whitey with a burning cross. They are intent on keeping themselves down.”

That’s called ‘crabs in a barrel’ behavior. Nobody makes it out with the others are pulling them back in.

Some people couldn’t buy a clue in a dollar store.

I saw a girl almost crying to someone on TV because she was so often mistaken for a boy.

She had a short, boyish haircut, was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, no makeup, no earrings, nothing feminine.

I wanted to scream, if you really care about that, put on some lipstick. It would be so simple.

He said he carries a 2.8 grade-point average and wants to be a lawyer.
2.8? So he’s basically a “C+” student?
LOL.
Just bein' *real!*

And with Columbia President Bollinger's version of Affirmative Action in law school admissions, he has a good chance of being accepted ahead of some white or Asian students with a 3.5 GPA.

I would dearly love to know what"outside factors" the writer is talking about.

I'm sure he's talking entitlements, the NEA etc. </sarcasm>

95% responsible is way too high IMHO, but whose fault it is is irrelevant to solving the problem anyway.

What we would probably agree upon is that if things are ever going to change, they will have to take 100% ownership and give up the victim routine.

I recall my own feelings at the time. Cosby was right, but I cringed at his candor. It would only serve to invigorate those who would use his comments to fuel their own divisive rhetoric.

As if that were the important problem.

My 89 year old Mom is temporarily in a rehab center that deals with pain management. One of her night nurses is an incredibly handsome and very tall young black man. The other night they were talking and she told him that he should be an actor. He said “NEVER!, their values are not my values”. He’s supposed to be the BEST nurse in the place. From what I can tell he works about 6 days a week and sometimes double shifts.

If someone can't take Bill Cosby, I'd love to hear their opinion of Chris Rock: Who's more racist, Black people or White people? (Warning: lots of profanity)
