Columbia hosts Achmadenijad -- can you say "treason"?
Grasstops USA ^ | September 24, 2007 | Don Feder

Posted on 09/24/2007 5:09:58 PM PDT by Stepan12

Patriots need to learn to say two words -- "treason" and "traitor." The American people need to hear the truth -- that the left has gone far beyond dissent. It betrays America at every turn.

Its hatred of our nation -- our history and underlying ethos -- is visible in word and deed. It slanders the republic, lies about our past, undercuts our warriors, revels in American deaths and consorts with the enemy in time of war (aid and comfort, and all that).

These reflections are prompted by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech at Columbia University, in the course of his visit to consult with his follow fascist thugs at the United Nations.

Iran's "president" (a term that ill-suits the ruler of a totalitarian state) is quite possibly the world's most dangerous man -- easily its most loathsome.

Back in 1979, Ahmadinejad was an intelligence operative who participated in the 444-day hostage-taking at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. In 2000, he hosted a Holocaust-denial conference in the same city, attended by such arch anti-Semites as David Duke.

This Hitler-with-a-three-day-growth threatens to "wipe Israel off the map" and promises the eventual destruction of America. He has ties to Al Qaeda. His regime commands its own terrorist army, Hezbollah, which came close to plunging Lebanon into another civil war and attacks targets around the world.

Iran provides the guns and bombs terrorists use to kill U.S. forces in Iraq. It is hell-bent on acquiring nuclear weapons to use against America and Israel.

The great Don Feder points out what everyone won't say, that Columbia's president is a traitor who is in our face with his invitation to Achmadinejad and banning of the Minutemen and the ROTC!

Well, we finally found out there is one group that Columbia students will not stand to be defamed: homosexuals. Everyone else in the US can be insulted at the whim of any dictator they can find to come speak to their brain-dead students.

Liberals hate America as it is. To them, patriotism is the abuse of civil liberties to transform America into their vision of socialist dictatorship.

I have been saying it for a long time: if you don't like being called a traitor then don't give me a reason to do so.

The commies are jumping up and down on my last nerve. I went to DC and I saw the damage to the Vietnam Wall and the three Vietnam Soldiers. Then we have Columbine Pre school, er I mean Columbia University and Iran's President Amadjihad. This from the same people who would not allow the Minutemen to speak or the ROTC or Military recruiters on campus.

It don't matter how you wash it, it is still gunna look dirty. Right now, Amadjihad is probably laughin' his but off because Columbine gave him a platform to look legit while his people are smuglin' SAMs into Iraq.

Those two words have been expunged from the sheeps' minds. There is no such thing as treason.

Only then will the American people begin to understand the festering evil in our midst.

A nicely written piece. However, many of us were aware of the treason in our midst when it started in the sixties. When we said so we were ridiculed, even as late as a few years ago. Well a number of folks are now picking up the gauntlet. Fine, better late than never, Don, but by now it may be too late.

"At Columbia, university President Lee Bollinger pulled no punches. He called him a "petty and cruel dictator" and said his Holocaust denials suggested he was either "brazenly provocative or astonishingly uneducated."

"I feel the weight of the modern civilized world yearning to express the revulsion at what you stand for," Bollinger said to loud applause.

I don't have a problem with Bollinger. He said it to the guy's face while sharing a stage with him. He turned him into an object of complete and utter ridicule.

Sometimes the best way to defeat an enemy is to give him a public platform so he can be publically ridiculed.

Yes, well, we have our Teddy Roosevelt running for president, and he has condemned, on National
TV today, Columbia for invited Ahmadinejad to speak.

Rep. Duncan Hunter has said that under his administration Federal funding would be stopped for Columbia in view of their treasonous act. That their refusal to allow the Minutemen to speak, or ROTC to exist there is very troubling to him, and that they would welcome a terrorist killing Americans in the ME is intolerable.

Sorry! Thirty odd years too late to start using those two words!

If Jane whats-her-name, wearing an NVA helmet and rubbing her "groove thing" on an North Vietnamese AAA piece while denouncing the USA wasn't treason back then, how can that word be used today?

If Lt. Kerry, committing purjery by telling a pack of lies about his and his contemporaries' Vietnam war experiences, or meeting with the N.Vietnamese in Paris in an attempt to "negotiate peace" were not the actions of a traitor then, how can the word traitor be used today?

BTW, have you gotten around to signind the 180 yet, JFn'K?

Like it matters.

How many times have we witnessed treason in the last few years?

Treason doesn’t matter in a country whose Minutemen are attacked for speaking in the very university where a terrorist who held Americans hostage and who is currently killing American soldiers and doing everything possible to be able to blow Israel off the map is given an opportunity to promote his agenda which can only be described as diabolical.

He should have been arrested the minute his foot set ground on our soil.

Columbia's prez is a p*ssy.

When I'm-a-dinner-jacket speaks, he defends letting him speak as freedom of speech. When Jim Gilmore or Ann Coulter are shouted down, he defends THE HECKLERS' right to shout down as freedom of speech.

Where were those BRAVE LIBERALS who were so defiant to a border watcher and a columnist, neither of whom have murdered and tortured anyone, today when this doofus was spouting off?

At the National Press Club, big mouthed feminist hag Eleanor Clift sat there like a clump and said nothing in defense of women while this terrorist murderer spoke. Nothing at all.

What a pack of cowards.

Sometimes the best way to defeat an enemy is to give him a public platform so he can be publically ridiculed.

His appearance was not aimed at us. It was aimed at Muslims, particularly Iranian ones, but many others as well. Their media will not show the President of Columbia's opening remarks, or if they do show some clips, it will be to show how rude and evil American Infidels are, particularly the Jews and Jewish sympathizers. (Bollinger rejected calls for a divestiture by Columbia of investments in companies doing business with Israel. Columbia also has an Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies

Never mind that they also have a Center for Iranian Studies)

The whole point of the trip is to raise his profile, baiting the (paper) lion in it's own den so to speak.

Exactly. Sometimes it's so exasperating that FReepers and conservative pundits get so caught up in the little stuff, that they neglect to notice the big picture. This thread is a perfect example.

By giving Ahneedajihad a nationally-covered forum, they allowed him to show his true stripes ... and he did. Columbia University did a great service.
