There is no doubt that he is not one of the "yogurt men" in Washington, he is very respected man. America needs him as President now more than ever.
I didn’t see any blunders to discuss.
You would rather Duncan Hunter sounded more like a Log Cabin Republican???
If Ron Paul is so keen on defunding federal involvement in schools, then perhaps he can explain his cosponsorship of this:
H.R.318 : To amend the Impact Aid program under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to improve the distribution of school construction payments to better meet the needs of military and Indian land school districts.
>>>My argument is that the very thought of giving taxpayer money for anything other than constitutionally allowed purposes is abhorrent to any real conservative.
You may want to take a look at where all the monies come from that the Logs Cabins use before you go down that road.
I wonder if Ron Paul will step up and support the legislature Duncan Hunter will be introducing to defund Columbia U. He might even consider co-sponsoring it.
>>>The best chance Hunter has is to team up as Frd Thompson.Imagine how many idiot dems would vote for Hunter- Thompson, thinking the old boy had come back from the grave.
At least Fred Thompson came out and denounced Columbia U’s hosting of Ahmadinejad today. Did Ron Paul?
More Ron Paul on education:
H.R.381 : To amend title II of the Higher Education Act of 1965 to increase teacher familiarity with the educational needs of gifted and talented students, and for other purposes.
More from Ronnie:
H.R.643 : To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide for collegiate housing and infrastructure grants.
H.R.457 : To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide credits against income tax for qualified stem cell research, the storage of qualified stem cells, and the donation of umbilical cord blood.
H.R.552 : To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide coverage for cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation services.
H.R.1346 : To amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to direct local educational agencies to release secondary school student information to military recruiters if the student’s parent provides written consent for the release, and for other purposes.
H.R.1921 : To affirm the religious freedom of taxpayers who are conscientiously opposed to participation in war, to provide that the income, estate, or gift tax payments of such taxpayers be used for nonmilitary purposes, to create the Religious Freedom Peace Tax Fund to receive such tax payments, to improve revenue collection, and for other purposes.
He seems awfully busy to be carrying the nickname, “Dr. No”.
LOL. I’ve read his record and he is pretty good on many issues: Taxes, guns, spending, etc. But a) he is not consitent in his federalism b) he throws in some pretty silly crap as well. He is a loon.
Considering he sponsored or cosponsored over 230 bills in this session, I’d say he is busy.
I only knew of Ron Paul from his essays. Matter of fact, I dare say I was one of the first to post about Ron Paul here at FR at the onset of the election mania 2008.
Then I learned about his antiwar views. Ran screaming and never looked back.
If Ron Paul had a decent understanding of the war against the islamo-fascists, I’d be willing to listen to him. But when you sound like Dennis Kucinich on foreign policy, you belong in the democrat party.
......I’m standing up applauding!!! .......
ENCORE!!!!!
He’s got a streak of reagan in him. Unfortunately, he has a streak of Cindy Sheehan and Harry Brown as well. He’s confused.
Bit of a YELLOW streak as well....
bump!
