So,I am sitting in my living room in a small town in Maryland. And now I have to know Spanish to figure out the Score of the Game.
I do not care. TV is Off. The is the United States. This is American Football. We speak English. I now do not watch NBC football !
Did you push the SAP button by accident?
I just noticed the same thing!! My husband is watching the Cowboys and I saw that FUTBOL AMERICANO thing prominently displayed?!?! Que pasa en la Estados Unidos?!?! Arrrgggghhhhh!!!
GOAL - GOAL - GOAL - GOAL - GOAL !!!!!!!
Yup!
During the game, I just saw some Xbox ad in Spanish.
Click!
Screw NBC!
Need to add two more GOALs for a touchdown. You only had 5. TDs are 7.
Oh, who cares. Football is a business, and the NFL wants to attract Hispanic viewers. Good business decision.
I want to kick a touchdown!!
Every time that wack nut commie Olbermann comes on I have to change the station. I simply cannot listen or watch the man. He’s a disgrace and a puke.
I did, I said.
God, I'm getting so fed up with this crap!
So things go back to normal when Hispanic Month is over?
I think this is a foothold/threshold situation. :-(
Time to e-mail NBC!
I will certain to ignore their sponsors and NBC in general. great decision
Where is hispania anyway?
That is how I see it. It is a marketing ploy to attract Latino people here away from Soccer (the sissy sport) to Football (the real sport)..
NB who?
I don’t like Oberbite and Madden, I can barely tolerate Michaels.
I don’t like Olberman, but I completely agreed with his commentary tonight. The Eagles “retro” uniforms were AWFUL.
As to the Spanish...what about the subtitles:
Osos de Chicago and Vaqueros de Dallas.
Boycott NBC and its liberal bias.
Alle Fußballspiele werden irgendwie befestigt.
Don’t watch NBC football because of madden and the rest of them suck also............opps forgot Go back to mexico!!!
One time the Cubs were on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball
and some kind of electrical problem knocked out the
feed from the English language broadcast so they had to
use the one from ESPN Deportes, with the Spanish-
language baseball announcers speaking ingles for a short
time (on the reg. channel)
Dallas Vaqueros?
More hispandering.
Are you with the same group who insists that all immigrants assimilate? Seems like you would think this is a good move, unless of course your assimilation excuse is just that: an excuse.
This is nothing more than an acknowledgement of Hispanic Heritage Month. See post #10 for the link to the story.
Honestly, people. Get a grip.
Im so mexicanned out here in SJose Ca. Its unbelievable. Signs in Spanish, Bank of America should be renamed Bank of Mexico...parks are filled with litter and illegals, peddlers everywhere..God..someone help us.
Ha,ha, my suggestion is try to enjoy the game and separate it from the Bob Costas,Keith Olberman NBC politically correct bull they are so famous for !!!
Oh, I agree.
Think back on the history of the NFL, the greatest plays, the Super Bowls, and you’ll see the Mexican flag waving in the American stadiums, NOT.
NBC owns the Spanish station Telamundo.. looks like we are stuck :-(
Perhaps those who are upset about this should contact the NFL. There is always a big fight over which network will get new NFL contracts. If the NFL finds that people are turning off the game because of what NBC does, either NBC will stop or the NFL will make sure this is their last contract. I’m sure there are other networks ready to take up the slack should NBC falter.
My local Safeway had posters all over announcing Hispanic Heritage Month featuring Hispanic doctors, lawyers, etc., and I wracked my brain trying to remember when they featured Swiss doctors, German lawyers or Norwegian engineers.
I am so sick and tired of this pandering that I almost walked out.
Ed
ok so its
GOAL - GOAL - GOAL - GOAL - GOAL - GOAL !!!!!!! ........kick....GOAL !!!!!!
It’s quite the opposite!
Those of us insisting on assimilation are serious, because that is the only hope immigrants have of improving their lot.
It is those crying “racism” who are making excuses for maintaining a slave labor pool.
oh who cares?
I DO!
I am sick and tired of having to push one for English, entering doors that say Entrada, logging into my computer to find they switched to spanish and I have to go back and reset my preferences to English.
If they want to attract Hispanic viewers ...go to Mexico! If people want to be here ...we speak ENGLISH.
My grandparents came from Italy, they kissed the ground when they got here ..came through Ellis Island and taught themselves to read and write English because they thought is was an honor to be here.
As for good business decision? Only if NFL now becomes a Mexican sport.
His presence did it for me. Won't watch.

And that changes anything I stated how?
Hispanic heritage: The Virgin of Guadalupe; the Roman Catholic faith; Simon Bolivar and Christopher Columbus; the Reconquista; rescuing civilization at Lepanto; the Toltecs, Mayans and Incans; El Cid, La Celestina, and the works of de la Vega; Santa Theresa d’Avila, San Juan de la Cruz, and Fray de Leon.
Nope; I don’t see NBC celebrating any of these, just supplanting our national language.
Puh-leeze.
What’s interesting is that despite this, I didn’t recall Michaels or Madden pointing out that Tony Romo is a Hispanic-American.
True, but they managed to actually find their offense and put up 56 points in them. We may yet see the monstrosities again...
I want my country back.
If I wanted to learn Spanish, I would have paid attention in high school.
‘Every time that wack nut commie Olbermann comes on I have to change the station. I simply cannot listen or watch the man. Hes a disgrace and a puke.’
Same here.
