I have no interest in owning a pit. That said, one could respond that those who want to ban the breed are willing to give up a lot of freedom, not to buy security, but to avoid the inconveninece of holding people accountable for their actions.
Best you don't come around the pitbull that has been protecting my Grandchildren for ten years with that attitude.

You are making the classic error of confusing reality and belief. Believing something doesn't make it so. No one actually believes in the same God, yet all of the People of the Book claim to believe in the same God that Abraham did. Do the Jews (who wrote the Book) believe that Christ is the God of Abraham?
My cat is so large that I often refer to her as my dog, or even "my big black and white peanut-lovin' doggy." But now I wonder...is she a pit bull in disguise? I'm off to check for a zipper, and if I find one on her I'm calling animal control.
