Ladies Man ( or Rudi's an inbreeder as well as cross dresser )
Elle | October '07 | Andrew Goldman

Posted on 09/22/2007 9:35:24 PM PDT by festus

...even before he'd told [Donna] Hanover that, technically, he was still married to his second cousin, Regina, he was giddily calling friends and announcing that he was going to marry her. ....

p. 383

TOPICS: Culture/Society; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: crossdresser; giuliani; inbreeder; rino
This is from a print womens magazine "Elle" the October issue which my wife was reading on the couch. It was all about how Rudy is a ladies man ( I thought they meant "Girly man" ;-).

Anyway I'd never seen it pointed out that his first wife was also his second cousin.

I can't really type the rest of the article in as its rather long and its really dumb reading. The article never goes into any details about the family connections behind his first wife.

Any insightful freepers out there know more ?

I checked to see if Elle also did negative articles on other candidates. NOTHING on Clinton! A love note for Obama:

Nothing on Romney, Thompson, or McCain.

Thanks. I followed the link and the article only got to p.381, the second page of the print article ( 3rd online page ) before I saw :

CHECK OUT THE OCTOBER ISSUE OF ELLE, ON NEWSSTANDS NOW, FOR THE FULL STORY.

Anyway that little blurb I quoted above is literally all the article says about it.

Rudi, here are the steps.

1. Get Married.
2. Get Divorced.

Repeat every few years but be sure to keep them in the right order.

Most republicans consider Reagan to have been a great president, despite the fact that he was married twice and did not have a good relationship with his kids.

Here we go again with the old Reagan canard. Never mind that Reagan's first wife left him, not the other way around, and still remained on good terms with him. Plus he was always there for his kids as well.

No comparison between Reagan's divorces and Rudy's.

I don't think it's a good idea either. But the fact remains that it is extremely common, and even preferred, in parts of the world.

Also a fact: we've had four presidents who were married to one of their cousins.

Well at least your conscience will be clear huh? I am not voting for Rudy because of his personal life...I am voting for Rudy because he is strong on defense and because he will kick the crap out of her.In our post 9-11 world all the domestic issues are going to have to take a back burner until our lives are saved. I mean, how easy it going to be to rail against gay marriage and abortion if you are beheaded or nuked by the Chinese. Marrying one’s 2nd cousin is not at all strange since that is considered to be a legally distant degree of separation. As a practical matter most humans throughout history lived in small villages where everyone was at least second cousins. It is probably true that we are all the descendants of many such unions.

Most people, outside of NY, will not have paid much, if any attention, to anything about Rudy prior to his presidential run. new yorkers often mistake this being old news because their media covered it. the rest of us were not paying attention to NYC’s mayor at that time.

My friend...I have been a conservative my entire life. I am from one of the most conservative states in America and related to one of the most conservative Senators in the US Senate. How dare you call into question my values. I, unlike you sir, would like to win this election. I, unlike you sir, am willing to support a candidate that does not support my beliefs 100% because I, unlike you sir, am not so prideful that I am willing to elect Hillary by Proxy. Elections are perception sir. Unfortuante yes..but reality. Rudy is not going to take away our guns sir.(Rudy is not in the legislative branch) Rudy is not going to appoint liberal justices to the bench sir(he has said so until he is blue in the face). Perhaps we should check the constitution to see exactly how much legislative power a President has before we go off on insane rants about the sky falling and leaving a rainbow flag on your doorstep. Perhaps you feel that we are electing a monarch.Or rather, annointing a king like Thompson or Gingrich. In which case I would ask Jim to do a clean sweep of monarchists from the site. Are you a monarchist sir? If Rudy is the candidate I hope that you and I will join hands at the polls as brothers united to keep Hillary out of office. If, however, you choose to stay home in order to punish those of us who weighed the costs..then I believe that it is your right. If only you would grant me the same courtesy.

I, unlike you sir, am not so prideful that I am willing to elect Hillary by Proxy.

About the only way Hillary can win is for the GOP to nominate Rudy. That would cause a massive rift in the party, just as Bush the Elder's leftward drift caused a rift in 1992. Clintons only win when the GOP messes up.

Rudy is not going to take away our guns sir.(Rudy is not in the legislative branch)

Rudy holding the pen in the Oval Office is the difference between a Dem majority passing gun-control legislation with a simple majority and Dem anti-gun legislation not passing because it is not veto-proof. Rudy has time and time again called for federal gun legislation - in his first state of the city address, he called for national gun registation. He called for more federal gun control after the 1997 Empire State Building shootings. He revoked permits from thousand of long-term NYC permit holders. He addressed Hangun Control Inc. rallies. And he sued gun manufacurers. Yet you'd have us believe he would not sign federal gun control legislation if he were president.

Rudy is not going to appoint liberal justices to the bench sir(he has said so until he is blue in the face).

Rudy has also said a strict constructionist, in his opinion, could uphold Roe. And his history of appointing judges in NYC is rife with appointing liberals.

Perhaps we should check the constitution to see exactly how much legislative power a President has before we go off on insane rants about the sky falling and leaving a rainbow flag on your doorstep.

Perhaps YOU should read the Constitution as to how a president's power shifts the threshhold for legislation to pass from a simple majority to a supermajority and get back to us.

Perhaps you feel that we are electing a monarch.Or rather, annointing a king like Thompson or Gingrich. In which case I would ask Jim to do a clean sweep of monarchists from the site.

I've seen some absurd posts from Rudy boosters before, but this one takes the cake. Fred would be annoited? Supporting Fred makes one a monarchist? Last I checked, he still has to win a majority of delegates in primary elections to win the nomination.

Are you a monarchist sir?

Nah, we're just conservatives. But liberals often think conservatives are monarchists at heart. Thanks for revealing your inner liberal to us.

I always find it interesting when those who phrase me as a “bot” are rigid and inflexible. Yes, I did say annoint..does he even have to make any speaking engagements for y’all to line up behind him? Debates? I remember the annointment of Bob Dole in ‘96. and I guess the ‘92 story makes more sense to you if you omit Perot too. Such a powerful argument to call me a liberal. This is why T. Roosevelt’s and Eisenhower’s descendents are abandoning us. You believe that we can win with a minority base..the same ignorant belief of those liberals..which apparently you are so keen to smear on someone who would like a victory for our side. You believe that if we shout loud enough about abortion and gay rights America will hear us through the media that gives us no voice.THEY SCREAM LOUDER! You do need to win to be the President? am I wrong..or is this still America? In what poll do you read that FT even has a chance against her. Now I will show you the polls where Rudy smacks her down time and time again.
Last time I checked our party used to stand for small government and individual choice. It appears to me that you would have us build a nation that takes away the state’s rights to decide the fate of morality. If you were truly the conservatives you wished to be you would not fear the power of any republican president. You would believe that the true power rests in the states. By you broad brushing me and everyone like me(and you and I both know there are millions of me(scary isn’t it?) you are saying the same as Moveon says to them. “We bought this party now it is ours”. “If you stand against our nomination of Thompson or Gingrich then you don’t belong with us.” You say there will be a rift if we nominate G. I tell you there wil be an even bigger rift, of an even bigger moderate party, if you put up Gingrich or Thompson. Fine...good luck winning an election with 20% of the electorate. Push us out, defame us..call us liberal. Good luck in the Socialist utopia of Clinton. But..at least you didn’t vote for Rudy..something to keep us all warm in the Gulags.

I always find it interesting when a posters says I called them a "bot" when I did no such thing.

Yes, I did say annoint..does he even have to make any speaking engagements for y’all to line up behind him? Debates?

Considering he's made many speaking engagements and has started to accept invitations to debate, I see this point is as nonsensical as your previous "bot" one.

I remember the annointment of Bob Dole in ‘96. and I guess the ‘92 story makes more sense to you if you omit Perot too.

Perot was only a factor because of widespread dissatisfaction with Bush's leftward drift.

Such a powerful argument to call me a liberal.

When da shoe fits...

This is why T. Roosevelt’s and Eisenhower’s descendents are abandoning us.

Got polling data for that?

You believe that we can win with a minority base..the same ignorant belief of those liberals..

No, you win when you hold the base and also appeal to swing voters. According to your logic, Reagan would never have won in 1980 and 1984. So much for that logic (again).

which apparently you are so keen to smear on someone who would like a victory for our side.

Look up the term "pyrrhic" and get back to us.

You believe that if we shout loud enough about abortion and gay rights America will hear us through the media that gives us no voice.

No, we believe that abortion and family are more than election slogans to be tossed aside in pursuit of electoral victory, only to find out that tossing aside such doesn't win squat.

THEY SCREAM LOUDER! You do need to win to be the President? am I wrong..or is this still America?

There you go with your monarchist nonsense again.

In what poll do you read that FT even has a chance against her.

Several recent polls. Try keeping up with current events.

Now I will show you the polls where Rudy smacks her down time and time again.

Rudy ran against Hillary for the NY Senate race in 2000. He was sitting mayor of NYC and she was a carpetbagger. And he couldn't outpoll her then.

Last time I checked our party used to stand for small government and individual choice.

Rudy is a gun-grabbing, Roe supporting authoritarian control freak. He's hardly the one to push that concept.

It appears to me that you would have us build a nation that takes away the state’s rights to decide the fate of morality.

Oh, that's rich. Roe is the ultimate violation of state powers. And you turn that concept on its ear. Not that I'm surprised, mind you, given your pit-bull-grade mauling of basic logic so far.

If you were truly the conservatives you wished to be you would not fear the power of any republican president.

Gee, I cannot imagine WHY ANYONE would be concerned about a gun-grabber like Rudy being in the Oval Office.

You would believe that the true power rests in the states.

Only with federalists like Fred in the Oval Office. Rudy is a statist authoritarian.

By you broad brushing me and everyone like me(and you and I both know there are millions of me(scary isn’t it?)

Sorry, but we've seen many Rudy boosters come and go, and none were so dense as to call Fred boosters monarchists. So I doubt there are more than a handful of people like you.

you are saying the same as Moveon says to them. “We bought this party now it is ours”.

Only if the GOP wants to go back to emulating Reagan. You know, the guy who taught the country-club Republicans how to become a majority party.

“If you stand against our nomination of Thompson or Gingrich then you don’t belong with us.” You say there will be a rift if we nominate G. I tell you there wil be an even bigger rift, of an even bigger moderate party, if you put up Gingrich or Thompson.

Reagan's history shows otherwise.

Fine...good luck winning an election with 20% of the electorate.

That's what the Rockefeller wing said about Reagan.

Push us out, defame us..call us liberal.

This from a guy who called Fred boosters monarchists.

Good luck in the Socialist utopia of Clinton. But..at least you didn’t vote for Rudy..something to keep us all warm in the Gulags.

And a lovely hyperbolic cherry to top off your bull**** sundae.

All liberals and RINO`s get attacked around Free Republic. Rooty is no exception. What I'm barganing for is those attacks from the GOP`s conservative base will undermine Rooty`s support and eventually his campaign will crumble.

If you consider yourself a conservative, the last thing you'd be willing to do is cast a vote for a scumbag liberal like Rudy Giuliani.
