How does the destruction of a satellite in orbit, cause it to come down to earth in one piece? Whoever they got to take over Rove's weather machine needs to work on his aim.

My first thought is that our satellite really was brought down, USSR DOES have a ground based laser that can bring down our birds PLUS that “meteor” could very well be whats making those villagers sick from its radioactive fuel, plutonium is highly poisonous probably the worst on this planet. I think this really happened, now I wait to see the cover ups and misdirection....

Pravda is reporting this in order to embolden Iran’s military.

How do they know it wasn’t Michael Moore falling out of bed?
I’ll bet he’d leave quite a crater!

I must admit, for a second there I was interested in the possibility it WAS a U.S. satellite. Then I read the second sentence.
Why are the Russians so evil? What’s the point? Warren Buffett indeed.

Western media reports are stating that the US spy satellite debris hitting Peru was caused by a meteor, but which, according to these reports, would be 'impossible' as the size of 30-meter crater, if caused by a meteorite, would have hit the ground with about as much energy as 1 kiloton tactical nuclear weapon, and which would have been recorded by the seismic stations around the World. Okay, let me get this straight. An object falls through the atmosphere and impacts with enough force to create a 30-meter crater. If said object is a meteor, it will be picked up by seismic stations. If a satellite, it will go undetected because presumably, satellites don't impact with as much force as meteors of equal mass and velocity.
Wow, their publik skools are way worser than ours.

"Most astonishing about these reports, however, are that they state that it was the Americans themselves who destroyed their own spy satellite with the attack upon it being made by the United States Air Forces' 30th Space Wing located at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. " As we know the Chinese have destroyed a satellite or two in the last year of so (one of them ours?), it's only sensible that we'd pick out an old one of our own that was going out of service and shoot it out of the sky to remind the Chinese that we can do the same if they wish to play tit for tat.

...not to mention them being red faced (pardon the pun) over that “latest” radar equipment they sold to Syria and Iran, which failed miserably as the IAF shut it down earlier this month.

Nice to see Pravda is still reliable. LOL, just what I was thinking. Just like the old days. I guess some things never change.
If it was in Pravda yesterday, I guess it'll be in the New York Times today.

"United States Air Force Strategic Command prior to his being 'transferred' under 'armed escort' to Offutt Air Force Base Strategic Command Center near Omaha, Nebraska, where the first 'truce' between Americas War Leaders and its Military Forces was 'negotiated' by billionaire Warren Buffett as intermediary between the rival power blocs." Ok so let me get this. There is a "war" among Bush and others against the Military for not wanting to attack Iran? Problems with the story:
1. SAC hasn't existed for several years before 9/11.
2. The old SAC underground is one of the safest places NOT on the East Coast.
3. Where's the profit for Warren Buffet in this?
4. Someone in the Military destroyed a KH to avoid going to war with Iran?
We have nothing over the Russians in stitching together a good conspiracy story.

In 1978 or 1979 there was a fire in Iran in a movie theater. It was arson and whoever started the fire blocked the exits. Hundreds of people died. Someone I knew was living in Iran at the time and said that this would be blamed on the U. S. by the very people who actually did it. This was a before the hostages were taken in Teheran, and I think of it as one of the beginning acts of this war we are in. This situation with the USSR and Peru reminds me of it.
