“... Measures worked out by Congress. That thought is enough to make you sick!” This man needs to be our President. When I watch his videos now, I reply to the screen, “You got that right, Mister President.” Feels just about right!

Fred comes off so down-to-earth, sincere, and so relaxed....he is just gonna smoke this election. And now the wapo has gotten into a public hissyfit over his remarks about America shedding more blood for freedom than all other countries combined and have called him on it.
They are about to know what it is like to be a bowling pin. This is fun!

Paraphrased: Hillary says don’t worry about the punishment for not having health insurance. Those will be worked out later...by Congress. Scary — that thought is enough to *make* you sick. (then a big grin).
Ha — good shot!

I watched the video, and Fred came off to me like a phony. The “aw shucks” thing seemed quite forced. I will be interested in watching him in debates, because I was not at all impressed by this.
I like what I have read about most of Fred’s positions, but the Walter-Matthau-as-Earl-Long performance worries me. It seems shallow.
I hope I’m wrong, and Fred turns out to be fast on his feet and tough in debate.

Could it be your support of Rudy maybe coloring your opinion of Thompson just a bit?The stilted delivery is concerning, not because of the content....the content is fine.
The pulling on his ears and chin tells me he's assembling his quip/lines slower than he's talking.
If he does this in a debate it's going to be problematic for showmanship.
I don't care about showmanship, but that's how Reagan won with "There you go again..." Reagan was quick, and yet he was cast as dull-witted. The press and the opposition will have no trouble casting aspersions on Fred.

Get the lines together, sit in front of the camera, put the tie on or off, and do the spot!
