Security cameras should be installed all along the wall. That way they can find the scum that attempt this again. Big brother wants to watch everything else. The least they can do is protect our sacred monuments.

I know what I would like to do to the pieces of pondscum that did this (it involves a tall tree and a short piece of rope as Charlie Daniels says). But under the law, what type of punishment can they face for this vandalism?
I’d make them meet the families of eveyone’s name they put the stuff on.

They can do all kinds of damage to other landmarks, memorials, momuments, and shrines...but being extreme cowards, they will never admit that they did damage to this memorial.
The reason is that they know for sure that if their identity is known that there WILL be several Vietnam vets who would definately hunt them down to discuss the matter with them.
Finally! Now catch the scum and make their lives as miserable as possible.
Typically "community service", maybe a small fine.
I purpose 100 hours of community service at the local VFW or American Legion Hall, with the fine going to pay for taking out the trash.

I demand that afterward Nancy and Harry crawl on their knees through broken glass from the West entry of the Capitol across the length of the Mall to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial as penance.
Actually the "American public" would like to know WHY the Park Police LIED last week while 1000's of patriots and Leftists were in the immediate area and could have "worked it out" between themselves....
Also, the "America public" would like to know what all those fat and slovenly Park Police are doing around the Memorial if NOT guarding them against just such vandalism?
