I do house plans for a living. Almost all of my jobs are for Mexicans that can neither read or write. Very few can speak English. Their kids act as interpreters and write their checks for them. Most of my jobs are for adding more bedrooms so that they can fit more families in their house. They have illegal sheds in the back yard and converted garages. None of the contractors I work for have a license, a state law. They tell me that the city of Los Angeles is clamping down on them and requiring them to have a union card. Against the state law. When work gets slow, they have to pay someone for referrals. I have a 2 story room addition I just got a permit for and the inspector told the homeowner to finish the outside, hell sign off the permit and allow the homeowner to do anything he wants to the inside. The homeowner is adding 2200 sq ft to his house with 4 apartments, against local zoning laws.
Many of these people have money. They own multiple rentals and pack people in like sardines. The renters are not related and have many kids running around.
I just did a job for a Muslim guy. He had two wives and many kids.
Im quite sure that some of the restaurant owners provide housing for their young waitresses in return for sex. I have added rooms to their houses with no access to the bathrooms from inside the house.
Recently I talked to a guy that wanted a guest house added and a garage conversion. He was in a hurry because he was hopping into one of his Austin Martins and heading up to the Pebble Beach Auto show.
Los Angeles is a Third World City.

Heres link to the Daily News and a map of pedestrians hit by cars. It says that 1,000 pedestrians have been hit since 2006.

Your commentary is excellent. I commend it to others.
>>Tony quit a $160,000 a year job to make more money for his family. Too bad those $40,000 a year carpenters and painters and drywallers no longer have any job to go back to, let alone a more lucrative job spouting and writing words.<<
Well said. It’s easy to be magnanimous when you are sacrificing someone else’s livelihood.
Misdemeanors are crimes, not civil actions.
your beef is with shrinkermd
You know what, we were supposed to be electing adults. Do you remember when Bush signed on to the idea that Presidential papers would be sealed for a decade or so?
Some of us were hoping Clinton would finally be brought to justice. Instead he received cover from this President.
Now he has a wife running for office and we won’t even see the full record until after the election.
Bush has screwed the pooch so many times. It really is a shame.
