Please can’t we disagree with Tony without being so angry about it. Tony is a genuinly good guy whom I respect greatly. He is wrong on this issue but there is no reason for us to hate him because of that. I for one, wish him the very best and hope that he is able to quickly recover from his fight with cancer.
Oh please, just because we disagree with him on immigration doesn’t make him a bad guy. I think he genuinly believes that this policy is best. I think he is very wrong on this issue, but I also think he is one of the most decent guys in the media today.
Exactly; I don’t condone the actions of illigals in any sense of the word, and wish they would go home and demonstrate at Mexico City, not Washington, but I also don’t want evil upon them, or for them to die (and go to hell): If their illigal action here brings them into contact with me, you, other Christians, and God changes their life, then it was worth it! Yes, yet there must be real LEGAL consequences for their illigal behavior, and that includes a trip back to mexico for their crimes, and (that would be lenient), jail, fines would be even stricter consequences.
I still can't understand any scenario that makes enought sense to have them keep holding on to this position. It's just wrong, and most illegals do NOT want to be citizens...but if it were GIVEN to them...they'd take it. It's Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. R-Cheap Labor and D-New Victim Voter Group. No matter how you look at it, wrong!
enought = enough
I would remind you deportation is a civil, not a criminal, manner. When they are deported they are not charged with a felony.
I like Tony, but after him calling me a child, I don’t know why. What a pipsqueak! Rather than going out gracefully, he takes time to slam objections from a broad sprectrum of Americans across party lines. Well Tony, I’ve got a news flash for you.
I also think it’s almost like watching a child misbehave in kindergarten... the only thing is, I think it is the President and yourself who have forgotten who you serve in this nation. It us, the Citizens of the United States. It is not them the citizens of Mexico.
Frankly, I think kindergarten is a little chartitable as a descriptor of the President and youself on this issue.
Go to the capital city of any Third World country. Amidst all the poverty and filth you will find a section that is an island of wealth where the elites and powerful live. Beautiful homes, clean streets, nice cars, safety, full utilities and services.
These elites are isolated and immune from the problems and suffering of the poor around them. As long as they can live in this luxury and control all the levers of power, they don't give a damn about the rest of their nation.
At one time, save the era of the robber barons, even American elites would not have behaved in this callous way. They also respected American culture, society and its ideals. They loved their country, and in times of war (up to Vietnam) were among the first to volunteer. (Think the Kennedys, Bush the Elder, Roosevelts, Ivy League graduates.)
This new breed of American elites, however, are of a different class. They are like those Third World elites - they don't give a damn about the rest of Middle- and Lower-Class America, as long as they get theirs.
Does that help you understand?
He's a hack because he disagrees with you. Grow up.
No, he most certainly was not. He agreed with the President on immigration all along.
“Nothing summed it up better than Tonys comment on his old radio call-in show when he berated a caller with a terse comment Would you rather pay $50,000 for your remodeling job or $30,000?
No further thought about the citizen-tradesmen who were put out of a job by cheap illegal labor, the taxes not paid, the benefits not covered, the industry wage scales lowered, the taxpayer-funded social services expended, the neighborhoods devalued - no, not a mention of those things.
Perhaps someday, when Tony and his ilks policies make Spanish the predominant language, he will find his speaking and writing jobs replaced by a glib Antonio Nieve who will work a lot cheaper than him.
Tony quit a $160,000 a year job to make more money for his family. Too bad those $40,000 a year carpenters and painters and drywallers no longer have any job to go back to, let alone a more lucrative job spouting and writing words. Their families have lost favor with the American elites who now prefer the wonderful family values of the illegals.
Tony is a nice guy.....He could sell me a pizza from the family franchise. But Tony is not very bright.....has always been a horrible debater, and is for open borders. I hope he survives cancer, but he should stay out of politics.
“CLOSE THE FREAKIN BORDER, WE ARE AT WAR!”
B T T T
Sorry you feel that way. You must be a democrate, right?
You are free to believe what you want to believe. Same here. Sorry, but we will part ways here then on it.
You were able to offer your views constructively without tearing down a person. Thank you.
Tony Snow is a good man, but I disagree with him about importing cheap labor.
“... no political party is going to be able to survive without taking a good look at what is the fastest-growing voter bloc in America.”
Close the boarders, dammit!
Hey Tony, for the sake of our country, i hope you turn out to be full of sh*t!You sound like it to me.
