Why can’t these “Hispanics” learn english like everyone else? Are they too busy? Or too lazy?

In San Antonio, the country's largest Hispanic-majority city, Methodist Healthcare System last month became the first and only U.S. hospital to be designated a "Hispanic Healthcare Hospital" by the Diversity Health Care Program of Mexico, a Mexico-based advocacy group for better Hispanic health.

It’s the Hispanics that need to learn, speak and understand ENGLISH!

Do you realize how much this will cost YOU to have others trained to learn a FOREIGN language?

This is getting out of hand and it is infuriating!  What's next?  Will the 'Hispanics' whine about why I am speaking English, and why Texas still belongs to USA?  This is America with its own language and culture! We never asked for their language or culture, and no one invited them here!

That is what they were hoping for.

The taxpaying US citizens get to do all the paying for the cheap labor that business just doesn't want to do.

Something tells me that I went to that hospital with a life threatening injury, and couldn’t speak Spanish, I would bleed to death in the emergency room.

The last time I visited an Emergency Room (in a California hospital) I sat in the waiting room for two hours with a three-inch long, half-inch wide gash in my wrist that was so deep I could watch my tendons functioning, this while family after family of Mexicans shuffled their children past me to have earaches and upset stomachs attended.

“ome argue not enough is being done to tailor care to a group expected to account for nearly 60 percent of the state’s population in 30 years.”

So in 30 years, for all intents and purposes, Texas will once again belong to Mexico. And the remaining 49 states will still have to foot the bill to take care of them.

Some argue not enough is being done to tailor care to a group expected to account for nearly 60 percent of the state's population in 30 years.

Some others (the vast majority) argue that if we start enforcing our immigration laws and close the border, no one knows if the majority will speak Spanish exclusiely. Ever.

“One-third of the population in Texas is Hispanic – right? If you take whatever business you’re in and cut the pie into three pieces and say, ‘I don’t need one-third of the pie,’ is that good for business?” Mr. Gonzalez asks rhetorically.
___________________________________

On the other hand, if a substantially greater proportion of that one third doesn’t pay you, you would think not courting that one third might be good for business after all.

I always thought the supposition that doctors - who study 8-12 years to be in their role- are supposed to learn the languages, too. Hire a translator for a couple dollars an hour.
And how does this accomodation fit in with importing doctors from overseas because we aren’t training our own? Hindi doctors told to learn spanish to work in Dallas, TX?

The Hispanic invasion is only possible because the politicians, business class and MSM have sold us out for either their own egos or for the bottom line.

I’m not saying to ignore the mexicans and other illegals and the very real problems they cause, I’m just saying be smart about it - You’re real enemies are the elites - both patrician and Leftist - that are so willing and eager to sell you out for their own selfish purposes.

If you’re really going to fight this, aim your weapons (metaphorically speaking) at those whose actions both created and sustain this situation. The Mexican invasion is a symptom of a larger problem, it’s not the core of the problem.

By all means.

"If a 15-year-old kid just had a baby and she's undocumented, where do I go? Who do I see? Where can I access resources?" said Dr. Bruce Dubin, associate dean of medical education at the [University of North Texas] Health Science Center, citing some questions students might face.

When living in the U.S. learn and speak ENGLISH.

When in India, learn and speak the language of the land there - HINDI.

When in Mexico, learn and speak the language of the land there - SPANISH.

There is no reason in the world why ANY doctor needs to speak something other than English while practicing in the U.S.. There is EVERY reason in the world for Hispanics to follow what other LEGAL immigrants did - and learn and speak ENGLISH!

What would hppen if Texas decided to secede from the US and join Mexico if in 30 years the population is 60% Hispanic?

“The Constitutionality of Secession”

“Few words are perceived to be more politically incorrect in America than the s-word, secession. Thanks mostly to Abraham Lincoln, secession is considered to be a complete anathema by liberals and conservatives alike. Although most Americans believe the Civil War proved once and for all that secession is illegal and unconstitutional, nothing could be further from the truth.”

Yes! But not only the the PC rot. Our educational system has been vitiated with moral equivalence which means that all social and cultural values are relative and that there is NO objective truth. In other words, a Hottentot and a Manhatten physicist are merely products of their environment and culture, and one has no absolute claim to “truth” over the other.

I don’t think it’s as easy as you may think to get immediate care in a California ER. Last year, my mother developed sudden shortness of breath, dizzyness and diaphoresis at her home. My sister and I took my mother to the closest ER. All the factors that should have led to quick evaluation were present: possibly life-threatening symptoms in a somewhat elderly woman with excellent insurance, who was accompanied by two physicians (I am a physician, and my sister is a surgeon). We COULD NOT make it through the triage nurse, even for a quick EKG, at the Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Torrance, CA.

Once we figured out that an EKG was not forthcoming, we hustled my mother out, and took her to Little Company of Mary hospital, where she got an immediate EKG (the EKG, along with various labs, was normal, by the way).

Since then, I have bought my own EKG machine to keep at my mom’s place. Going to a California ER is often a waste of time.

"Darn! I took Latin and French in High School and College.... “slapping forehead” I could have taken Spanish!"

When I was in college, and taking mandatory spanish for the fifth failing time, it was accepted that doctors, engineers, and scientists required languages useful to furthering their skills.

German, French, Japanese; languages that researchers might use and publish in. Languages that might reveal new knowledge or earlier access to research findings, treatments, or trends. Spanish has never, to my knowledge, been cited as a scientific language.

English may be the world's most commonly used language in science and business and therefore the premier 'scientific language'. That does not lessen the value of the others.

Dumbing down the medical profession so they can deal with a political problem caused by lame politicians and chicken farmers cannot be sound policy.

Besides, it is already hard enough to understand what the Pakistani doctor, working the the kindly looking gray haired MD/CEO/Mega Millionaire, is trying to show me even when he IS using pictures. I'd not want to try translating the message when it came to me in broken spanglish.
