I remember hearing a short while ago that the Islamic Republic Police had arrested dogs, as a part of their fight against immodesty. Today, a very good friend sent a set of pictures of the arrested dogs. Clearly, these dogs are not meant to live in the conditions they are being kept, but, anyways, they do not treat human beings anything better.

This is just another example of why the Islam is "The Religion of Peace."
The fact that the Islamofascists hate dogs is a pretty good indicator that the “religion of peace” s*cks.
a rich, diverse culture :)
This ought to confuse you....these are rescue dogs in Iran

Those are some weak looking fences. Those Iranian dogs need to start digging in the dead of night and bust out of that holding area.
Seriously, some of those people are crazy as bedbugs. They are the ones who need to be locked up.
Muhammad’s hatred of dogs; Intro from “MUHAMMAD AND THE DOGS”
INTRODUCTION
Muhammad made strange and harsh statements about dogs and these edicts affect dogs in a tragic way. His teachings may have come from cultural bias, Pagan concepts, or his own imagination, but wherever they came from they led to the cruel treatment of dogs.
None of the statements regarding dogs are found in the Quran but they abound in the various collections of traditions (hadith). These traditions are a primary foundation of Islamic theology and are the basis of many Islamic laws. They render dogs as “impure” and worse. Per Muhammads orders most dogs were to be killed and all dogs of a specific color (black) had to be killed.
Muhammad claimed to be a prophet of God and as such his word was to be obeyed. With the teeth of Islam biting worldwide it is vital that Muhammads teachings be scrutinized to determine if he were a nut or a prophet.

they don’t like beer, dogs, women or pork now that is a crappy”religion”
Apparently our Iranian friends are unfamiliar with the concept "because they can".

If the Iranians don't want him, I'll take him.

“Iran: Dogs arrested”
Does this confuse you?
From Radio Free Europe:
“Iran: Tehran Officials Begin Crackdown On Pet Dogs”
“All detained pets are taken to a newly created detention center. Radio Farda reports that some dogs are housed amid piles of garbage and debris. Others reported that a very large dog was confined to a cramped cage within the dog ‘prison.’”

Sorry, those dogs look like they’ve been groomed. People don’t groom dogs when they consider them evil. Admittedly, they are standing on a trash heap. But the entire story about these dogs isn’t being told.
I love dogs, so flaming me won’t help. My dogs are babies, not even dogs.
Something’s not right about this report.
Huh. In N. Korea, the headline would read “Police arrest dogs for lunch”.

Wow my dog would be in trouble in Iran. His name is Balls.
They took the PET dogs away from their owners, that’s why the dogs look so well-groomed. No need to worry, the dogs will be “disposed of” soon and won’t have a chance to get in poor shape.
Maybe we could make “dog burkhas” in China and sell them in Teheran.
“They took the PET dogs away from their owners, thats why the dogs look so well-groomed. No need to worry, the dogs will be disposed of soon and wont have a chance to get in poor shape.”
i was thinking the same thing. as much as i try to inform people about fashist islam, i find few who believe it is not the religion of peace and that they are out for our scalps. the rest probably think, well, i could’nt care less what they think. wish i could convince everybody. but that is not possible. too bad there is not a pied piper for dogs in in iran to lead them to the west.
I thought the same thing. I'm not saying these kooks wouldn't do weird, ugly things to pets. They do it to people - why not animals?
But there is something strange about the whole story. And it is posted from "An Iranian Looking at Iran as a foreigner" by Kamnangir. Is this a sterling source?
Those dogs don't have bones sticking out of their skin. They don't have sores or scabs. They don't look emaciated. They aren't surrounded by starving puppies. I think someone is fishing for bigoted comments from Westerners for some reason. Just being careful.
Have you never studied totalitarianism?
The people do what they want, and the state intervenes where it can.
The people love dogs, but the radical muslim government hates them
PS: I tried to teach my dog to fish, but he didn’t like beer. :)

I think that this report will put a better context to the pictures.
Islam is anti dog and anti cat, Mohammed hated Dogs and Cats.
Yes I know.
Ever hear of Persian cats? Iranians love cats
Look at them, playing cards and gambling......it's soooooooooooooooo unislamic.
“Dr. Javid Aledavud, the head of Iran’s Society to Defend the Rights of Animals.”
Nuff said. And my dog fishes, enough to chase off the fish I pursue (she jumps in the water and chases my bobber/bait). I wouldn’t think about givng her any beer, she’d be a real drunk, much worse than I am.
I did tell her tonight we are going “bye bye,” tomorrow. I knew better than to tell her that early, as she knows what that means. She has been uncontrollable since I said the “magic” word.
I still say there is something suspect about this report. I am concerned about dogs in Iran, but I bet it is really bad to be a human there as well. Priorities, you know.
Didn’t the Iranians arrest squirrells for alleged suspicion of spying on them?
Ahmanutjob is living up to his name more and more each day.
The regime has frowned upon people having a dog - unless you have a farm and use them for shepherding or something. However, wealthy people have had them, and then it crept into the average households, though people usually confined them to the house and their yard. Then people started bringing them out in public more and now the regime has cracked down. So they are arresting people and confiscating dogs.
My concern is that, politically, these people are trying to pull a "Looky Lou". Sort of like the Democrats when any time they are trying to enact legislation, they are'nt doing it for their own power, it is "for the chillllldddddrrrrruuuunnn". They know how much Americans care for their pets. They almost anthropomorphise them. Someone is trying pull a ruse.
I have had dogs, rats, birds, cats - you name it. But I won't let them blackmail me with them.
I think I just go back to the larger point that if this is how they treat dogs, just imagine how they would treat an infidel like you or me or any of your friends or family members...
I hope all these dog haters find their heaven isn't full of virgins but instead a bunch of starving and mistreated Pit Bulls that get to chow down on them every night for eternity.
That was before Islam.
“Ever hear of Persian cats? Iranians love cats”
“That was before Islam.”
?
No, it is current day. Iranians love cats and they have been a substitute for dogs for many Iranians during this regime.

(sorry, Helen...must be the sunglasses...)
There is a genuine similarity.
No,..don’t do it, BenL,..I know you’re looking for that Morph engine as I type...
