This is only a 6.6 earthquake, much weaker than the ones a couple of days ago.

Advisory says no tsunami produced. Not unprecedented, as were many large Earthquakes around Boxing Day Earthquake/Tsunami event. Just very rare. Hopefully this isn’t the run-up to an earthquake even larger than the 8.2 the other day. Sometimes big earthquakes can cause more big earthquakes. But usually not. Hopefully, just an aftershock.

USGS has reported over 40 5+M quakes in that area in the last few days. Any geologists out there? Is this normal or is this another Toba coming?
