Is this for the 6.4 USGS I just got in my email. One minute ago.

They issue warnings for anything over two feet? I think?
And here I was just thinking how nice and quiet the earth has been all day in that area.
This is only a 6.6 earthquake, much weaker than the ones a couple of days ago.
First crossed the wire at 2:15AM ET.

I’d appreciate it if you could keep me from spewing more
Sri Lankans were told to move at least 650 feet inland.
A few sources are saying 6.8.

Advisory says no tsunami produced. Not unprecedented, as were many large Earthquakes around Boxing Day Earthquake/Tsunami event. Just very rare. Hopefully this isn’t the run-up to an earthquake even larger than the 8.2 the other day. Sometimes big earthquakes can cause more big earthquakes. But usually not. Hopefully, just an aftershock.
Thanks for the update.
Could very well be.
I am getting use to USGS doing multiple revisions so I will expect another e mail soon. : )
USGS has reported over 40 5+M quakes in that area in the last few days. Any geologists out there? Is this normal or is this another Toba coming?
