"One of the bullets fired by lawmen actually entered Sarabias gun, jamming the bullet that was in the chamber, he said." Wow -- now THAT is life mimicking fiction!
I'd have to see that to believe it....

Asked if 104 shots were excessive, Youngblood said theres no magic number for what would be appropriate. The officers shot until the threat was over, he said. Leave it to reporters to ask excessively dumb questions. If they waste him with one bullet or five hundred bullets, he's just as dead.

It’s not the number of shoots that matter, it’s the number of hits...

Not trying to trivialize this situation but they shot at him 104 times, but only hit him 34. No ... that's how many bullets they removed from the guy's body. The story doesn't say how many went through and through. I'd guess he suffered probably 50 total hits....
On a related note, I'm glad we had hamburgers last night, and not tonight...

But that sounds like a pretty poor performance. Eleven trained officers with four minutes to prepare shot 104 rounds and hit a stationary prone target 34 times.
I wasn't there, but that sounds flaming incompetence.

For cryin out loud! How many officers were on the scene? Im not questioning the use of force. Do what it takes to survive. But that sounds like a pretty poor performance. Was the threat eliminated? Yes.
Were any officers injured? No.
Will this discourage other from pointing guns at LEOs? Yes.
Sounds like good performance to me.

34 out of 104 hits is a lot better than they did in Los Angeles.

Point a gun at a Cop and you'll die.
I didn't know that was all that hard to understand.

Thank you Sheana. For a few minutes there I had my topics crossed. I was just on a thread about another officer involved incident, that didn’t involve a shooting.

The area in town this happened in is our 5 sq miles that looks just like Mexico. This was in the heart of that area.

Sorry Sheana. It’s a terrible thing watching part of your town turn into one major ceaspool. Those who bray about diversity should have to live in the middle of these areas.
