There is another article here on FR somewhere from soon after the arrest I think....it mentions the AlArian connection. I had a hard time finding it, couldn’t find it, so glad you posted this other link too.
ping...
I'm delighted to learn that this has been of some help to you :-)
Oh, yes, the FBI issued a press release shortly after the arrest stating that there was no reason to believe these delightful young gentlemen had anything whatever to do with terrorism. They were just carrying fireworks for a bit of harmless fun. You can always believe anything you hear from the FBI. Right?
I don’t believe anybody anymore.
If it gets any worse, my heart’s going to explode!
Please pass the nitroglycerin wafers.
The good, law-abiding people of Florida have my utmost sympathies.
I'm delighted that you've found the article to be interesting :-)
Im betting the computers that were seized yielded an abundance of information.
I'm sure you're right, and I'm also guessing that we will spend a very long time waiting for an apology from CAIR for their statements that this was all overhyped and that these two dear young boys were only targeted by racist cops because of their ethnicity.
Whatever happened to suing organizations for slander? CAIR needs to pay a price for their cavalier, racist pontificating (but then again so dues the NAACP, the ACLU, etc. etc.)
We need a moratorium on student visas, at the least, until the fiasco of a system can be set right.
Though, I’d like to see moratorium on all immigration.
But, but CAIR said they were just like the Duke Boys, never meaning no harm.
Though, Id like to see moratorium on all immigration.
There are sound principles supporting this perspective....a society needs time to assimilate newcomers after a period of sustained, rapid immigration, otherwise it can fail to be a society anymore.
CAIR has never failed to impress me with their near-magical ability to present matters in a way that are in a complete, perfect opposite to the truth.
"They brought in the bomb squad and detonated the evidence they had. That was premature to charge somebody and rush to judgment without evidence."
I guess he figured since they blew up the evidence, they didn't have any evidence!
"Obviously their heritage and background is playing a major role in blowing this out of proportion," Bedier said.
Yeah, right. That and the fact that ..." Mohamed has been arrested previously in Egypt on terrorism-related charges. He is said to have produced an Internet video showing how to build a remote-controlled car bomb."
I think the family may want to get another spokesman. This one doesn't have a clue!
If the family were sane and rational such as you and (hopefully) me I would agree, but considering the fact that the family embraces a cult that is at least a thousand years out of date and refuses to modernize itself, spreads violence, hate, death and destruction wherever it goes and treats women worse than garbage, one may ask: Would the family know the difference?
For people whose minds have been poisoned by Islam, the insane ranting of these CAIR people may sound entirely reasonable.
From what I’ve seen in similar situations, the standard response is to accuse investigators of racism and prejudice against the suspects, and dismiss any evidence as manufactured or exaggerated.
Law enforcement is always wrong and their Muslim brothers are always innocent victims of American hatred.
Apology from CAIR...now that’s funny.
Still watching the situation regarding the DOJ and ISNA. Wondering how long it will take for our government to wake up here. Very frustrating.
Well, maybe he did -- and given that he was carrying explosives when caught, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he really did.
But note the wording of the story: "he is said to have produced an Internet video." Who said it? Has anybody seen this video? Has it definitely been tied to this guy?
I certainly want terrorists caught and prosecuted. But I would hope that when the trial comes, there's a bit more meat to the accusation than "he is said to have produced...."
Does that mean the authors of the Army training manuals I have in my library will go to jail too?
“Werent they trying to tell us it was not terror related or some such nonsense?”
Of course.
