Our combat deaths so far in Iraq are only about 5 percent of what we experienced in Viet Nam, yet Dims and other weak-kneed liberals want to pull out.

We need to stay the course until we achieve our war aims. I believe they are the following:
- a stable, united Iraq
- a free, democratic Iraq with a representative government
- an Iraq that can defend itself
- a prosperous, westernized Iraq
- an Iraq that will serve as a model for democratizing the whole Middle East
- an ally of the US in the Middle East where we can maintain our bases and from which we can project our power and influence throughout the region

This will take a long time, probably at least 5 more years, maybe longer. That is why it is so important we elect a Republican as president in 2008 to maintain the same kind of strong leadership we have had from President Bush.
