Marriott still employs security firm with Black Muslim Bakery ties.

Over the past decade, more than a hundred thousand visitors have strolled into the Oakland Marriott Hotel and convention center, where among the first faces they encountered were those of well-dressed young men sporting bow ties. These men are the hotel's private security officers, who also happen to be members of the Black Muslim clan believed responsible for the assassination of Oakland Post editor Chauncey Bailey.

When told of the county records, Daly changed his story. Sometime after receiving Antar Bey's letter, he said, the Oakland Marriott contracted with a separate company, UD Security Services. State records show that the new firm was formed in November 2002 by John Bey, another family member, who listed UD Security's address as 5832 San Pablo Avenue — the same as the bakery.

Yep, uh huh, after what could bring down the Marriot name, they sure went out and interviewed several other reputable security agencies and contracted with the one that offered the best package for the hotel.

We have spent time on Hilton Head Island, SC for the last 8 years. The Marriott on HHI in the last several years hired a Black Manager who immediately fired a well-loved band of musicians and singers who do sing at pricey places all over the Eastern seaboard but do all kinds of music and are popular with the dance crowd in Hilton Head and always had a full house. They were immediately fired/let go when the Black Manager was hired now and only jazz was hired for the hotel. THe manager’s choice, fine, or an attempt for a Black only hotel?

Chauncey Bailey, the assisinated journalist in Oakland, previously wrote for the Detroit News when we lived there in the 70’s and 80’s, early 90’s . We read him when we lived there. He was murdered because he was uncovering corruption in the African/Muslim American community. And I am a native of Oakland, California.

What’s Marriot going to do? Under current law, you can’t start firing them until they start killing or something else egregious. The muslims are using minority protections to lethel ends.

Hey,I’m from “Tha Town”also.
I used to go to the Muslim Bakery frequently in the Nineties.Those bean pies and bean soups were delicious.Then the scandal broke with Dr. Bey and those little girls and that was IT for me.Can you believe that man had the nerve to get up there on his TV show every week and talk about”protecting our black women”and then goes and gets a 13 year old girl pregnant?I felt ashamed that I ever gave that man ANY of my money.
Chauncey was a prince,however.In 1999.a friend of mine’s daughter ran away from home.I took her down to the Trib building and introduced her to Chauncey.He was so gracious and allowed the mom on the show that very evening to tell her story and out the girl’s pic up on the screen.The girl eventually was found safe.
Oh,my poor town.Bleeding from years of neglect and wrong headed politics.Ron Dellums for mayor?Almost as bad as Mayor Jerry Brown.
