The guy spends 90% of his time criticizing Republicans and sucking up to Donks, and his main accomplishment in life was to take a gigantic dump on the First Amendment. He’s the one Pubbie I don’t think I could vote for in the general election.

...what planet are you on? Joseph Liberman was Kerry's running mate...

If you're going to ask people what planet they're on, you should probably make sure the next sentence doesn't make you look like an idiot. John Edwards was Kerry's running mate.

When is the last time any of these shows had on a REAL conservative? The only Republicans they have are the squishy moderates. Meanwhile how many $$ of free advertising does Hillary get when she’s on the Letterman show?

Americans "are looking for someone who will tell them the truth, whether they happen to like to hear it or not," he said. "I think too often politicians tell them what they think they want to hear, rather than what they believe."

Johnny, we hardly knew you, or your party affiliation. We Americans didn't want to hear that you were going to mess with our Constitutional right to Free Speech. You never came to realize that campaign finance laws don't work because they are unfairly enforced. When laws are not applied uniformly, they should be repealed, not "reformed," before the public loses all confidence in our Justice system. Your failure to understand the beneficial effect of tax cuts on the economy when Bush needed unity among Republicans was another serious mark against you. You were that politician who wasn't listening.

Your repeated attempts to undercut the Bush administration on the war in Iraq meant you were no better than the Democrats: You made the war much more difficult to fight since the Iraqis who would otherwise cooperate decided they'd rather keep their lives and the lives of their family since it looked like the U.S. would pull out prematurely, as in Vietnam. In other words, you made the U.S. look like an unreliable partner who couldn't be counted on to finish the job. Rather than broadcast your views on every Sunday news show, you might have been more effective rendering your advice privately. Instead, you attempted, like Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard, to do maximum damage. A kneecapped race horse won't win any races. I could go on about your anger management problem, but I'll leave that to you to solve in retirement.

If Republicans want to win, if conservatives want to when, then they would pick a Republican and a conservative who reaches out to the center and has broad appeal, like McCain. If it’s true that he was Kerry’s first choice than that shows very broad appeal. In fact McCain is the only one who has such appeal (and is not pro-abortion like Rudy): he favors overturning Roe, appointing strict constructionists, finishing Iraq well, finding Bin Ladin, eliminating earmarks, extending the tax cuts, and now he favors border security first approach.

Don’t believe the polls either. He would win. His approval rating among GOP is lower now, but if he were to win the nomination it would go up to 85% and he would claim a chunk of Democrats and a majority of independents.

And don’t forget, according to MCain is was NOT amnesty. And McCain-Feingold is NOT unconstitutional.
That is NOT straight talk, that is delusional.

He was done in by past cooperation with Democrats and his actions regarding illegal amnesty.

He is toast, and not the kind with the likeness of Jesus in it either.
