Al-Maliki Tells Off Clinton, Levin Iraqi Prime Minister Says U.S. Dems Should 'Come To Their Senses'

POSTED: 9:37 am EDT August 26, 2007 BAGHDAD -- There are some stern words from Iraq's prime minister Sunday for two prominent U.S. Democrats.

Nouri al-Maliki said Sens. Hillary Clinton and Carl Levin need to "come to their senses."

Both have called for his ouster, saying al-Maliki's government has failed to meet basic goals for unifying and securing Iraq. Clinton is running for president. Levin heads the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Al-Maliki is fighting to hold his government together. And he used a news conference in Baghdad Sunday to blast his critics, mentioning Clinton and Levin in particular. He said they are examples of American officials "who consider Iraq as if it were one of their villages," adding, "They should come to their senses."

Maliki ought to note that the glorioius French, who are held up as beacons of justice and civility, were fighting civil wars 80 years after their independence, and didn't have a stable government even equal to that of Iraq until the 1920s. It wasn't until 160 years after their independence that they had a government that could survive more than a couple of peaceful elections.

But Iraq MUST "get it together!" Uh huh.

I really admire Maliki for standing up to the rats and for his own Country:

But someone needs to tell al-Maliki that the only way to get the rats to come to their senses is to teach them how to use the other 90% of their brain and give them a spine. This is nearly impossible. Note: Joe Leiberman is trying. And Zell Miller came through it with flying colors. As for the rest of them, it is futile.

Now, what does all this say about the people who vote for demorats? What is their deal? I don't understand it. Are they spending to much time watching American Idol instead of the American political arena? I wonder what Maliki thinks of those who vote for the Clintons and the Levens?

Please do not let the little children see her terrifying fit of rage and anger because they will have a nightmare if they see her wide mean open eyes, and hear her extremely annoying nasty voice screeching.
