"Antonio, as my campaign co-chair, your job is to keep Bill from blanking my staff."
"Heellaree, ai promise chu, Beely won't do da cha cha wit your

Is not a card. Is a paper check issued by California Social Services for all these individuals to get food. Free.
From the perspective of the federal government and all its official definitions the word “immigrant” is applied to all those here legally for the purpose of establishing residence. Thus it would not apply to tourists, or business or governmental visitors such as diplomats or foreign military.
Thus by definition there can be no “illegal immigrants”. Unlawful entrants are “illegal aliens”.
People may not remember, but at one time up to around the 1970’s all aliens were required to file an annual report every January 15 at the local Post Office as to their current whereabouts. Every December and January the TV would have hundreds of public service announcements reminding aliens of their obligation to report. Failure to do so was a crime.
Looks like we never should have stopped it.
it seems to me that in some circumstances they needed a sponsor to guarantee they would not require any financial assistance from the US and a return ticket.
Dr. Camarata of CIS - who's about my age - says that when he was going to college in the 70's, construction labor paid about $8/hr, which when adjusted for inflation would now be about $18/hr.
I did a lot of construction labor under those same conditions and at the same time, and I know the $8/hr figure is correct.
My understanding is that illegals are paid $10/hr to $14/hr (cash), so in fact illegal aliens have forced a wage decline (not to mention a skills decline) on today's job site.
This was stated on a radio interview, and it was funny that shortly after saying this they took calls from several guys who asserted they "couldn't find native Americans" who were motivated to work the same way illegals are. To which Camarata said (paraphrased) "If you'd pay the adjusted $18/hr or more that we were being paid in the 70's, you'd probably get a better quality of American applicant."
Which is absolutely true, since I do recall that most of the American construction guys were average Joe's supporting a family and mortgage, and there were even a few laborers with mortgages. Not many, but they existed. Certainly us student types were able to sock away enough for the 9-months of school year expenses.
But it's important to remember that contrary to popular belief, illegal alien "day laborers" have measurably reduced and not increased the pay scale for unskilled labor in America.
Presumably this cuts across the country's entire unskilled labor rate and market.
"Illegal aliens: taking the substandard hourly pay that qualified Americans won't work for."
My brother in law was in construction in D.C. in the mid 70’s and youre right about the wage scale. He worked it right till his death in 2000 and the industry was mostly Hispanic by then. The few white guys were overseeing, or out altogether. So, yea, raise rates 20 % and the industry will employ efficient Americans and overall the infrastructure will be less taxed (schools, prisons, hospitals, etc). A win win, IMO.
Their marches and their demands really pi**ed off America, and also woke up feelings of racism in those who never felt it before.
The invaders and their enablers made a big mistake with their DEMANDS and their ARROGANCE!
Agreed. I hope they continue in their “demands” and arrogance. Let them further enrage Americans.
“Someone needs to tell Bill OReilly he just got through saying there way no way we were going to deport 12 million illegals. “
Target the employers and most will deport themselves.
