There's an old saying about the Big Apple, "If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere." The obverse seems to be true for liberal talk show hosts.......If they cannot "make it" in Washington State, then where can they make it?.......

Of the non-conservative AM stations, only KOMO is worth a hill of beans.

I, frankly, don’t know why liberal radio hosts can’t make it on radio. I’m a conservative and have no interest in listening to the liberal tirade with its perpetual gloom and doom, but there are millions of libs that thrive on such things. Is it that liberal hosts are without talent? I’m glad that they fail, but I wish I knew the reason why even libs don’t listen to libs. Is it that the MSM is so liberal that they don’t need to listen?

I, frankly, dont know why liberal radio hosts cant make it on radio. They are around. Ronn Owens from KGO in San Francisco comes to mind.
Of course, that station has its share of loons too.
Ronn just happens to be one that attempts to be Mr. Reasonable and he has been in the biz forever and has interesting guests from time to time.

I haven’t lived on the coast for several years, but when I did I heard Monson on occasion. He frequently espoused conservative views, but he was not a solid conservative, in my view. I have no clue what he is like these days.

My usual listening is Kerby (KVI), then Rush(KTTH), then Medved(KTTH), then I am off to work.

When I lived there, it was Kirby first thing in the morning, then Rush from 0900 - 1200, then Medved, then Carlson all on KVI. They had Mike, last name escapes me, who was fired for calling the mayor of Seattle a fag. The black mayor, Norm whatever.
Sounds like KVI has gone down the tube.

As soon as Rush left, they did go down hill. There is a good proram on at the same time as Rush, called the Commentators. It is John Carlson and Ken Schram duking it out. It’s pretty good, but again, same time as Rush.

It was Mike Siegel and I miss him. Yes, he called it like he saw it and he was called on the carpet for it many times over the years.

Just now catching up on my pings.....the trick they're playing there in saying conservative radio is failing too is ignoring KTTH in Seattle that has Rush from 9-12 and then Medved from 12-3. Six solid hours of great talk radio. Factor in those ratings and then tell me conservative talk radio is dying! Not to mention KKOL(?) 1300 that has Laura Ingraham, Hugh Hewitt and others. If you total up ratings for all of these, I bet they beat the total for all of the liberals by a mile!
Lastly, Dori Monson is NOT a conservative. I literally LOL when I read that!
