Topeka, KS (LifeNews.com) -- That editors at the liberal magazine The Nation take a pro-abortion view is nothing surprising for longtime readers or observers. However, the publication has gone past the evens of even most pro-abortion people by defending Kansas late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller.
Tiller has been charged with doing illegal late-term abortions without the consultation of a second physician by none other than a pro-abortion state attorney general.
Yet, editors at The Nation not only defend Tiller's actions of killing unborn children after the point of viability but putting women's health at risk by refusing to consult with an independent doctor who can verify the abortions are medically necessary.
The magazine calls Kansas' late term abortion law one that "seems to have no other purpose than to make life difficult for abortion providers."
"Tiller has a long history of being harassed for his work and these allegations are just the latest chapter," the magazine claims.
It calls "trumped up" the charges that were eventually dismissed related to the death of a mentally disabled teen girl in a botched abortion Tiller did.
"This new law under which he's been charged is harassment, pure and simple. That's why Tiller's attorneys are challenging the constitutionality of the statute," The Nation claims.
Ultimately, the rag calls on its readers to send donations to Tiller's Wichita abortion business in order to help his legal defense fund.
"Tiller has been operating bravely for years doing thankless work in the face of constant efforts to drive him away from his practice," The Nation concludes. "The latest charges against him are meant to distract as much as punish and make it financially prohibitive for him to continue his services. So now he needs our help. Please send donations and words of support."

I’m still in shock that Killer Tiller’s been charged. It figures his “fans” would crawl out of the woodwork to defend this murdering scumbag.
While a conviction will be nice I’m not geting my hopes up. He should have been charged with multiple counts of capital murder.
