FR, as discochick demonstrates, has been miles ahead of Google News which is only now introducing their own invitation to aggrieved relatives of the recently deceased ... and of defamed sleepwalking non-rapists.

Hello All and thank you for your support.

I am the mother of the girl and the sister of the man

I would like to thank the Police, Barrister and the Judge who was involved in the case where a RAF man was cleared from raping a 15 year old due to apparently sleepwalking and suffering sexsomina. I would also like to make people aware that the jury could not prove 100% that he was not suffering from this condition. I would also like to thank all the papers as up to date they have printed the truth.

He was supported, in court by three family members, that have not seen him between two and ten years and did not attend the party on the said night. The other niece who s leaving comments also did not attend and has not seen him. She spent half a day at the court and approx 20 minutes on the stand.

On the night in question there was 14 family members and 3 very close friends. ( can they all be wrong??)

My brother had never suffered any form of sleepwalking to my knowledge and many people have had a bad past . He has stayed with me and my family on many occasions, since he was a child. There was only family plus two close friends that stayed that night. I have noticed that in the papers it says that he had previously suffered with sexsomnia. This is untrue. He spent two nights in a London sleep centre. Nothing unusual was found. I truly believe that it was due to the amount of alcohol that he had consumed.(but that is my belief)
Also, as he stated, he woke up outside my home, but then when I let him back in the door, he said his mind went fuzzy again. (He must of fallen back to sleep, on his feet while walking??)
I also feel that the law should be changed and the courts should be given powers to ensure that these people receive help or if they re-offend that they are then punished. If my brother did know he suffered with this condition before the rape then he should still be punished as he did not make anyone aware or take measures to avoid the situation.
I still love my brother. Why, I don’t know after the pain that he has caused my daughter and family. - But cannot forgive.

I feel people should make there own judgements. Not listen to myself or other family members. Read the papers the facts are there. Not all papers can be wrong.

Thank You
Mum

Hi All

Continued from Mums

There has also, to my knowledge, NOT been any concrete specialist diagnoses. Only self diagnoses. So maybe these individuals, that are said to be suffering with theses kind of conditions, should be tested in a sleep centre for couple of weeks, rather then two nights. For instance, when NO abnormal sleep activity have been recorded. This way they will be able to collect data and various information to support if the individual does actually suffer from sleepwalking, sexsomnia and blackouts or in some case’s this is due to over indulgence of alcohol. Which can also be a trigger factor. If so the individual should take responsibility for themselves. It is next to impossible for any individual to be suffering from two of the above symptoms at one time. Never mind all three. At present there is no measures in place to protect other individual from these people. They can walk free where there victims carry a life sentence.

I am not saying individuals do not suffer from these conditions. But I do feel there are a few individuals that may use it as a way out after they have raped or murdered someone and will be allowed to walk free and not even need to get treatment. So allowed to do it again.
