Lest anyone think he was misquoted, CAIR’s own spokesman, Dougie “Ibrahim” Hooper, let it slip to the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he essentially wants the same thing: “I wouldn’t want to create the impression that I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future.” [....]

These quislings aren’t part of the fringe. They represent the Muslim establishment in America. And they are on record wishing America would be ruled by Islamic law and not the Constitution.

Now they have the gall to publicly denounce Bush for associating Islam with everything they would let an emir establish in his place: rigid, one-party theocratic rule; forcible oppression of opposing views and beliefs; collectivism; militarism; sexism; chauvinism; and anti-Semitism.

The evidence is overwhelming. Everywhere it is codified and put into practice, sharia law results in brutal suppression of dissent, free will and individualism. Apostates face a death sentence in not only Pakistan, but even post-Taliban Afghanistan, the supposed model for “Islamic democracy” in the Muslim world. Bibles are still confiscated and churches still banned in Saudi Arabia. Non-Muslims working there must still use separate roads and facilities. One of the first decrees by new “reform-minded” King Abdullah was banning photos of women and censoring any anti-Wahhabi stories in newspapers throughout the kingdom. If that’s not fascism, what is? [....]

Perhaps these regimes have swerved off the spiritual path and no longer really follow the tenets of their faith. Actually they follow them all too well. Sharia law is plucked directly from the Quran and sunna. That’s why we still see today barbarous 1,400-year-old Bedouin justice like beheadings, amputations and stonings. Sharia also sanctions polygamy, denies women basic rights and merges mosque and state. Make no mistake, all of this is scripturally supported. [....]

Don’t laugh — especially you 49% who told Gallup you believe U.S. Muslims are loyal to the United States. Given high Muslim immigration and birth rates, their dream could one day be within reach. Some sharia laws are already recognized in parts of Canada and Europe. And America is no less a target of a global Islamic movement to pressure Western society into abiding by Islamic laws.

The movement is driven by the militant Muslim Brotherhood and bankrolled by Arab governments. In addition to Saudi funding, CAIR just last month got an endowment from the United Arab Emirates (which already owns the deed to CAIR’s D.C. headquarters) to help launch a new $50 million campaign to mainstream Islam in America.

Part of that campaign involves stocking U.S. libraries — first in neighborhoods, then college campuses — with pro-Islamic propaganda. It also involves pressuring corporate America to accommodate Muslim religious customs in the workplace, such as giving Muslim employees time off to attend Friday mosque and letting them wear head scarves and beards even when it violates long-standing dress codes and presents safety and security issues.

CAIR plays the race card. If board members don’t accept the group’s “offer,” it cries bigotry. It’s cultural extortion, and no one should give in to it. Those who do only help the Islamic fascists achieve their subversive goal of turning America into a mullahcracy.

Actually I fail to see where Doogie got torn up there. He has a very valid point about the likelyhood that if you surveyed the general population, you may get similar results, i.e., we have plenty of secular lefty nut cases who would agree with the poopey-heads.

I watched the video. Tucker needed to ask the guy, what is your good-faith basis for asserting, in your lawsuit, that the John Does acted in bad faith and illegally in their reporting on suspicious behavior?

Bottom line is that you can’t properly file a lawsuit, and then get discovery, etc, without some prior evidence that forms that good-faith reasonable belief.

The CAIR lawyer essentially admitted, by stating what he did, that the lawsuit is frivolous and malicious.

I’ve liked him ever since he was riled about Nifong and Duke University last year when the Duke lacrosse guys were accused of rape. He was outraged, as we FReepers were, while most others... guest lawyers, FOX, MSNBC, CNN personalities were saying the guys were either guilty or took a “let’s wait and see” attitude.

Hooper kept trying to equate suing with asking questions and that he was just trying to defend people's rights. Americans recognize that getting sued IS punishment, like Tucker was saying. Hooper tried to wave that off as "asking questions". Hooper persuaded exactly no one.

Right on WL. I was surprised at his “file first - find cause of action later” approach. One is not allowed to file a lawsuit in order to go fishing to find out whether there’s anything out there to support a lawsuit. If State frivolous lawsuit statutes or Federal Rule 11 sanctions are to mean anything they should be imposed harshly in these situations.

I refer you to the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence:

“That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

Note I am not saying making a change is necessarily a good idea, just that it is a Natural Right of the people to be allowed to change their government.

If the Imams want to know the intent of the people who reported the behavior they can call these people to testify. There is no need to sue them to get this information.

Tucker disappointed me. I thought they just went around in circles with the CAIR guy never getting rebutted. E.g. when the question of the KKK guy singling out "African Americans" that he was uncomfortable sitting next to came up, the answer this and maybe all other questions about "good faith," should have been: That has already been determined by the person receiving the report. You don't need a court to determine it. I wonder too whether CAIR would support "loser pays" on suits like this that they seem to favor. Unfortunately we don't know because Tucker clearly isn't ready for prime time.

A lawsuit is not supposed to be a fishing expedition. According to Tucker, the lawsuit (the part against the passengers) offers zero evidence of any wrongdoing of any sort on the part of any of the passengers.

Tucker torn Hooper up on that point - of that there should be be doubt.

CAIR is a terrorist front group, period. Why the drive by media continues to think and portray them as a “Muslim” version of the NAACP is beyond me.

They have only a few thousand members total, get millions of dollars from foreign governments that support terror.

Exactly! Therein lies the answer. Americans having to pay a lawyer to protect themselves from false accusations of racism from a religion that demands their death.
