ABRAM -- A man who shot at a U.S. Border Patrol agent this weekend remains at large, federal authorities said Sunday.

No injuries were reported in the Saturday attack, the details of which are still under investigation, local FBI spokesman Jorge Cisneros said.

The incident occurred in the small border community of Abram, near Penitas, where an agent attempted to pull over a suspected smuggler around 10 a.m.

The man attacked the agent, who fired at least two shots in self-defense. At some point during the stop, the alleged smuggler fired back but missed the agent.

How many shots were fired during the volley remains unclear.

While the shooter continues to elude authorities, several others were detained, Cisneros said.

Border Patrol officials referred all questions about the incident to the FBI, which is handling the investigation of the case.

My advice to the Border Patrol is to not shoot back because W and his justice department will send you to prison for doing your job. Also, don’t ask the National Guard for help, they do not have guns because W doesn’t want to militize the border even though he tells the American public the National Guard is patrolling the border.

Doubtful. It will not matter if the guy’s name is Juan Carlos Ruiz Angel Rodriguez Vela De Santa Anna, and he is on 6 different surveillance cameras dressed in all green-white-red and has a sombrero on with Border-or-Bust panted on it and a backpack with two gallon water jugs tied on waving a Mexican flag when he presses the button on the damn thing. The DHS in their all-knowing wisdom will ground all commercial airline flights and will be stuffing metal detector wands down grandma Smith’s bra and demanding total firearm registration.
