Congress Fails To Adopt Lawsuit Guards (Flying Imams)

Congress fails to adopt lawsuit guards

WASHINGTON, July 20 (UPI) -- Protection from lawsuits for wrongly reporting suspicious behavior has failed to pass the U.S. Congress.

The legislation was inspired by a suit brought by a group of Muslim imams who were removed from a U.S. Airways flight to Phoenix before it left Minneapolis last November, The Washington Times reported. Some passengers on the plane said they had seen the imams, behaving suspiciously by praying together before boarding.

The imams, who were allowed to leave after several hours of FBI questioning, sued the airline, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Airports Commission and unnamed passengers.

Democratic leaders said that the lawsuit protection could lead to racial profiling. The provision was kept out of a homeland security bill during a House-Senate conference.

"This is a slap in the face of good citizens who do their patriotic duty and come forward, and it caves in to radical Islamists," said Rep. Peter King, R-NY, who sits on the House Homeland Security Committee.

Time to take names again and publish how each of them voted. Their votes will make get ads during election season. The American people need to be reminded how each and every one of these elitists voted. Those that voted against the American people need to be sent home in disgrace.

That statement is ridiculous. You can't "wrongly" report suspicious behavior. Suspicious is suspicious.

The Democrats would prefer that we are mute, sitting ducks, not even able to use our own good sense. Our safety is but a pawn in their game for power.

Thought crime. Apparently what I think may be suspicious may actually be me committing a thought crime.

Why don’t the Dems just come out and pass the Terrorist Protection Act of 2007, making it a crime to report anybody Acting Suspiciously While Muslim? Just so we know where we stand.

Gosh, the poor dears, they were just praying, not marching up and down shouting "Allah Akbar", eyeballing everybody on the plane, demanding seat belt extenders they didn't need, etc.

Right, praying.

Whatever happened to the advice for citizens to stay vigilant and to report anything out of the ordinary?

This is all part of the national slow motion suicide process.

"Democratic leaders said that the lawsuit protection could lead to racial profiling"

Typical Demagogues..... they are always willing to take the side of Islamo-fascist fanatics against real Americans. If the Demagogues have their way we would see mass terrorism over and over again in this country, because the weasels are always far more concerned about political correct b.s. than about security. The Demagogues gave us 9/11 and they gave us the unanswered jihad throughout the 1990s. They allowed Osama and pals to grow in capability and now they want to whine about "why can't we find Osama" when it would have been 100% more feasible to take him out anytime during the Clintonista years.

No kidding. "Kindly wait until the next station, exit the train and leave the area quickly but without seeming to be in a panic".

Given the importance of a vigilant public, I can't BELIEVE that LEOs aren't screaming bloody murder over this one. Well, most LEOs ... the one's here in NoVA are too busy writing reckless driving tickets.

Democrats Who Want You Sued For Reporting Terrorism

http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/188762.php

These morons voted against lawsuit protection from Islamic grievance rackets like CAIR for reporting such things as noticing jihad videos being developed by jihadis at Circuit City.

They’re strong on national security - just not on letting the average person tip them off to suspicious behavior. They’ll handle it, thank you. They can’t even seem to pinpoint where 7 billion of their pathetic pork projects is going, but they have a lock on knowing what Johnny Jihad is up to at any one moment.

These photos need to be sent to each member of Congress to remind them that we are at war for our survival. Remind them what took place on 9/11. It is apparent by their actions and by the vile words that come out of their traitorous mouths that they have, indeed, forgotten. They are reprehensible and I question the oath they took when they went into office. They, obviously, lied when they said they would protect and defend this country. Our founding fathers are turning in their graves.

“Democratic leaders said that the lawsuit protection could lead to racial profiling.”

There is good news in all of this terrorist protection on the part of the left. The end result will be more terrorist attacks and most of those attacks will be in the liberal bastions represented by big urban areas. Therefore, most of those killed and maimed will be liberals. I hate to wish anyone ill, but better them than people who actually try to help defeat the enemy.

You are absolutely right. The Republican party should be taking the lead on this, sending prominent members of the party onto all of the Sunday morning talk shows, talking to the print media, running commercials, and using all means at their disposal to make sure the American people are well aware of what has happened here. But they won't.

This is the same type of PC lawyer think that could have prevented 9-11-01. We had flight instructors all over The Country second guess themselves before they reported strange behavior from foreign students & The Agents that had the info had to handle it with PC kid gloves because of lawyers & fear of lawsuits.

“Congress Fails To Adopt Lawsuit Guards (Flying Imams)”

Well, VOA regrets to be PUSHED to the logical conclusion that folks
in The Border Patrol, The US Military and the Average Joe/Josephine
that notice a nutty guy that is mumbling in Arabic before your
commercial flight...
should just STFU.
Because Dubya, Alberto Gonzalez, Jimmy Sutton, The United States House
of Representatives and U.S. Senate as well as other government types,
ACLU and similar ilk are dutifully looking over your shoulder to
find out what YOU did wrong if you say
“Hey, that guy/gal is acting like a NUTBURGER and should
be held for observation”.

Don’t believe me (VOA)?
Fine.
But just read this string of recent threads.

Gingrich Says U.S. is Waging ‘Phony War’ Against Radical Islam
AP ^ | 18 July 2007 | AP
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1868998/posts

“Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich charges that the United States has been waging a weak and “phony war since Nine-Eleven” and continues to lose ground to radical Islam.

In a speech to the annual conference of Christians United for Israel, Gingrich charged that instead of fighting to win, President Bush is now pursuing appeasement through a proposed Mideast peace conference.

Comparing that to the attempted appeasement of Nazi Germany at Munich before World War Two, Gingrich said, “We don’t have a peace process. We have a surrender process.” “
