One expects bombast from politicians. Politics is a world of exaggeration and innuendo; after all swaying the public is what it is all about. National political figures make outrageous statements as a matter of course. They have become part of the landscape, an annoying part of the political season that we usually tune out and disregard. The press does not often call them on their rhetoric, and no one seems concerned about how factual they are. It is almost miraculous that a system so fraught with exaggeration and falsehood nurtures our Democracy and prosperity. It is not pretty, it is not easy to follow; but it works.
Yet every once in awhile something particularly ugly rises to the surface of the political cesspool that needs a thorough debunking, ugly, even when compared to the subterranean standards of those who make their living with the ugliness of exaggeration and misrepresentation. Until black kids in large numbers start taking school seriously things will not change. For so many minority kids the most important part of going to school is to have $200 basketball shoes.

I don’t think the results of that report would fit into the leftists agenda. So don’t hold your breath waiting for a follow up.

The NAACP has turned into a joke. A sad joke.
Over the 4th of July in Charlotte, NC they had hundreds of black gangstas disrupt the downtown fireworks display. The mayor stated the obvious: that hundreds of thugs, primarily African American youths, disrupted the fireworks display.
The NAACP got really p.o.’d and said that the mayor was causing racial tensions. The mayor is? LOL

First time I’ve heard about that. Which is not surprising, considering the partisan political rubbish that gets passed off as news in this country. It doesn’t surprise me that the evacuees are better off now then before. They left a crime ridden, corrupt city, and are almost certainly now in a better environment. In some cases, the flood may have been their first real chance to get out of New Orleans.
Looter guy. There’s a man of action. Sees what he wants and goes after it. That makes him more suitable for leading NOLA than the current Mayor.
As for the NAACP, the KKK couldn’t have hatched a more successful plan for ruining the Black community if they tried.
Ravenal Sr. of South Carolina once called the NAACP a bunch of retards. I agree that the NACCP are a bunch of economic retards. Economics 101 is lost on them. For example, when the Chicago media did a report on the growing number of Black small business owners, the local NAACP decried the trend. Th IL NAACP said there weren’t enough jobs in White Corporate America. What maroons.
Julian Bond suffers from lack of coherent thought. He’s perfect to lead the ACLU.
They’re just the propaganda arm of the Democrat party. If the NAACP truly stood and cared for Black concerns, it would be decrying the Black holocaust of abortion, sky-high out-of-wedlock births (lack of fathers), demanding school vouchers, blasting the culture of gangsta rap and the demeaning of Black women, and encouraging entrepreneurship in the community.
If any non-Black brings up the subjects you stated, the typical Black person would say, “You just don’t get what it means to be a Black American. Whitey has keep the Brothers down for Eternity.”
Blacks are resentful toward White America. It is justified. However, they have allowed their resentment to cloud their moral judgement.
Whites are to blame, but not entirely to blame. After all, if Black unity weren’t just a bull$hit concept, Africans could’ve halted the slave trade before it began. It would’ve been poor Scots-Irish White folks picking cotton and singing “Ole Man River” in the fields of the South. Their problem with selling out their own for crumbs has been an epidemic for 500 years.
I do favor reparations. Blacks ought to launch a class-actions suit against Democrat party and drive them into bankruptcy.
It was their failure to listen to and heed the warnings of the likes of Frederick Douglass, Booker T. Washington, and George Washington Carver that has gotten so many to such a dire point. Washington warned of those groups of Blacks that would exploit their own over a century ago. He would be saddened, but not surprised, to see what has happened today. He’d be blasting the NAACP for the charlatans and hucksters that they are. Al $harpton and Je$$e Jack$on, Sr. epitomize those con-men he warned about, that use and need the problems of the Black community to constantly be on display so they can shake down others for their own personal gain.
Simply put, the NAACP and the Jacksons and the Sharptons can’t afford for the Black community’s problems to be solved, because it would adversely affect THEIR bottom line. Until the Black community recognizes this en masse and in the words of Malcolm X, realize they’ve been had, been hoodwinked, been bamboozled, and that “Plymouth Rock landed on them”, it will never change.
A nice start would be that the next time some weasely liberal rodent, White or Black, comes around asking for a contribution to the NAACP or knocking at their door asking for their vote by saying, “Hi, I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you,” they go pull out their rifle and run them out of town on a rail.
