They literally went to LTCM HQ in Greenwich and downloaded the positions onto a laptop.

And LTCM allowed that? So much for being the smartest guys in the room. LOL!

Didn't have a lot of coice. Everyone in the consortium or thinking about joining it simply demanded to see LTCM's position sheets, or no dice. So LTCM showed them.

Now, why LTCM would let ANYONE with a laptop into their HQ is a little bit beyond me. Leave it at the door, f'Heaven's sake.

I remember that Burger chap in the FT article. Quite a slickster he was (or thought he was, at any rate). Glad they nabbed him.

Thanks again, Joisey. Why don’t you just elect Tony Soprano governor and be done with it?

“We’ll go back to the 1920s, and have direct conversations with people,” Mr. Corzine said.

"... and make damn sure there's no way to record those conversations." <== likely the rest of the sentence.

Yeah, he printed fake sheets to show the investors how well he did. Bear paid big bucks because they should have known what he was doing. Right.

Glad they nabbed him.

Yeah, little punk.

Poor “Corponizi,” they won’t leave him alone.

Which one? :) The only reason I noticed is because I press post way too often before I press spell myself.

In response to a lawsuit filed by Republicans seeking public disclosure of e-mail messages he exchanged with the state union president who is also a former companion...NY Slimes resorts to euphemisms when it comes to 'rats - I wonder if the paper is willing to give Sen Vitter a pass by assuming he was really looking for only a "companion" when he called the DC Madam......
