Hells Angels clubhouse now owned by Arizona

PHOENIX — The state of Arizona is the new owner of a clubhouse that belonged to the Hells Angels. The state will pay a member of the biker group $102,500 for the Phoenix clubhouse, money that comes from anti-racketeering funds forfeited to the state. "We've eliminated the home base of a criminal enterprise," said Chuck Johnson, an assistant attorney general. "This was a very useful and even laudatory use of $102,500."

The state outbid the Hells Angels for ownership of the clubhouse that's been used for twice-weekly meetings of the biker gang since 1999. Some of the options for the home include tearing it down, building low-income housing or turning it into a community center. The home should belong to the state in about 30 days. And just because the state got their clubhouse doesn't mean it's the end of the Hells Angels in the Phoenix area. "They wanted to kick us out of the house. It's a house. We'll get another one. We'll move into Scottsdale or Paradise Valley," said Bob Eberhardt, president of the Cave Creek Chapter of the Hells Angels.

I guess spending $102,500 on education would have been a frivolous waste of money.

Eet's not a gang, man. Eet's a club.

waste of freaking money.

Notice that it's also asset forfeiture money, so a good bit of it is probably funds simply stolen by the state.

I personally know a member in the Boston area.

He seems like a normal average guy. Of course I’ve never been to one of his meetings. LOL.

Good, as long as they don`t use it as a Kawasaki retailer.

“We’ve eliminated the home base of a criminal enterprise,”

What? Then why did you pay a member of that very organization 100+ large for it? To buy another?

Hell, if you know it's a criminal enterprise, maybe you should arrest the criminals ??

...or turning it into a community center

Yeah, that'll fill it up with peaceful law-abiding citizens !

In other news, city officials have towed away the car used by a drive-by shooter. That'll teach 'em

.

Having trouble selling that house? That For Sale sign starting to look a little faded?

Your worries are over! Guaranteed top dollar for your home courtesy of the State!

Call your state legislator/senator or govenor today and tell 'em: "The Hell's Angels are movin' in!"

I’m guessing that $102,500 will make a great down payment for an even better club house!

Thanks Chuck!

Yep, buy low and sell high. Sounds like Arizona could be a good repeat customer. The "Club" could be onto a money making deal.
