He basically said that he doesn’t care that the President is CIC he will inject himself regardless. He also said that he won’t wait till Sept because there’s nothing to wait for. Sounds like he’s been hanging around Rats too long.

There does come a point in time, when, if the Iraqis do not stand up for their own nation, we must decide to leave. Many locals KNOW who the enemy is. They MUST stand up against them. If they don’t, I wonder who they REALLY see as the enemy. I also believe the time is fast approaching to make the decision to leave and let the Iraqi people steer their own destiny. I think the Iraq “leaders” are just biding their time making sure they have stolen all they can from the country, and making arrangements for their retirement somewhere else in the middle east, or here in America.

Domenici: Need new mission - Murtha: Redeploy
Domenici: Not wait till September - Reid: Surge has failed
Says he doesn’t support the dems plan and is a friend of the prez, the prez doesn’t need friends like him.

All of these pu55ies will have to answer to our soldiers when they return. I predict they will be the fastest growing group of elected politicians in the next 5-10 years.

To: tobyhill
Domenici at least was against amnesty while the CIC has been determined to surrender our country to the invaders. How can I take anyone seriously about the security of this country when they pushed this outrageous immigration bill. It is Bush who has been hanging out with Rats, trying to be buddies with Clinton and Kennedy.

Keep yapping about Bush and immigration, I’m talking about the role of the Commander In Chief which is the President’s job, not congresses!

Actually, He has been a pretty good, solid conservative, Quite wise, and a net asset to New Mexico and to the Nation in general for many years.
Until the immigration thing came along and stirred up some old psychological trauma from his childhood.
I think he has gone a bit senile, and is being led by an outside influence more than by his long held inner principles.

Legen I think Pete did go off the deep end on the immigration thing or at least he was going to support Bush on this issue which the rest of us did not.
As far as going senile, I don't think so I think he has an eye on the Republicans regaining control of the Senate. Do not forget he was one of the few Republicans elected to office during the Watergate era and his freshman term as Senator was in the minority. He was part of the cabal that planned and established the Senate Republican Majority.

The outside influences are the Rats probably blackmailing him. They probably promised him that they won’t seek an ethics investigation if he spoke out against the President and this war before Sept.

Instead of RINO- just call him Senator Domentia. Pete has lost mental acuity. The only reason he gets sent back to DC is for pork barrel projects. The only reason he keeps going to DC is to get his palms greased by the same people he gives the pork to.

It is Bush who has been hanging out with Rats, trying to be buddies with Clinton and Kennedy. Dominici was NOT against the shamnesty bill until it was obvious it was going down...I wrote and emailed him about it. NM is a purple, leaning blue state and Pete will say anything to be re-elected.

We knew this would happen. Who’s at fault? I blame Bush. Almost 4 yrs of political correctness warfare. You cannot become victorious by applying PC to warfare. I cannot believe the bungling by this administration. Way to go GW - piss off everyone & especially your base with idiot SC nominations (Meier), Dubai, immigration, Sr prescriptions, bigger school budgets, etc. You reap what you sow.

"...As far as going senile, I don't think so..." Well, I'm kind of glad to hear that... Or maybe not. It might be easier to forgive if it was a disability rather than just playing politics with the future of the Middle East AND the security of America.
I'll take your word on this; I imagine you see and speak to him often and can judge what his mental state is. Been years since I talked to him, much longer since I could say "I know him".
Whatever; He has become a big disappointment, at least as far as I'm concerned.

‘I think he has gone a bit senile, and is being led by an outside influence more than by his long held inner principles.’
Hence those of us that firmly believe in the virtue of term limits.
