Actor, former U.S. Senator and unannounced GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson plans to attend a rally in Duluth Tuesday night.
State Sen. David Shafer (R-Duluth), a Thompson supporter, Monday morning confirmed that the former "Law and Order" star is scheduled to attend a "Freedom Concert," hosted by FOX News commentator Sean Hannity at Gwinnett Center.
Shafer said the Thompson campaign informed him Monday morning of the scheduled visit to Georgia.
The concert, which is already sold out and is expected to draw 12,000 people, starts at 7 p.m.
Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich is expected to attend, along with recording artists Montgomery Gentry, Lee Greenwood and comedian Larry the Cable Guy, according to Gwinnett Center director Preston Williams.

I think the Freedom Concert is tomorrow night (you have “tonight” in the headline).

I can’t wait to see how they pack 12,000 people in the Gwinnett arena. It’s a nice place, well laid out, but how we gonna get 12,000 in there is a bit of a mystery.
No matter how many people come, the AJC will pooh pooh the attendance.

“We need to have FDT comment on the Fair Tax.Lets compare his response to that of gooliani.”
Fred has already said the Fair Tax interests him, and that one of his priorities will be IRS reform.

Yes I am aware of his statement. What I would like to here is that he is “behind” the Fair Tax completely. He needs to remove any doubt is what I am saying.

Is Lamar Alexander invited?! His office is Fred Thompson's campaign headquarters. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1862686/posts So how does this list go: Sen Alexander, Lamar [TN] - 6/5/2007 Sen Bennett, Robert F. [UT] - 6/5/2007 Sen Casey, Robert P., Jr. [PA] - 6/5/2007 Sen Collins, Susan M. [ME] - 6/5/2007 Sen Domenici, Pete V. [NM] - 6/27/2007 Sen Gregg, Judd [NH] - 6/5/2007 Sen Lincoln, Blanche L. [AR] - 6/5/2007 Sen Nelson, Bill [FL] - 6/28/2007 Sen Pryor, Mark L. [AR] - 6/5/2007 Sen Sununu, John E. [NH] - 6/5/2007 It looks like a list of McCain-Feingold! We just need Fred Dalton Thompson, a "true conservative". So essentially to hell with the surge, lets weaken support further, so we can cover Fred's ass to get elected?
