U.S. to Serbia: Choose Europe instead of Kosovo (Summit of village idiots)

DUBROVNIK -- Daniel Fried has called on Serbia Saturday to give up on Kosovo and choose a future within the EU instead.

"The question for Serbia is not whether it tries to keep a hold on Kosovo because Slobodan Milošević lost it, rather whether it wants to embrace Europe " US Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Daniel Fried said in an interview with AFP.

"The answer from us is: you are welcome, we want you," he said.

Fried spoke on the margins of a summit of Southeast European countries held in the Croatian resort of Dubrovnik named The Croatia Summit 2007: Europe’s New South set to focus on the immediate issues of Southeast Europe and emphasize the region’s status within the Euro-Atlantic framework and NATO.

He said that the summit's message was that the Balkans countries could, like central European states, be successful in their Euro-Atlantic integration if they manage to overcome the obstacle posed by the problem of Kosovo's future status.

"The irony is that ... the only way for all Serbs to live in one political entity was [the former} Yugoslavia, and then Serbian nationalists destroyed it during the 1990s wars," Fried said.

"The second way for all Serbs to live in one political community is for everyone to join the EU and the only way for that to happen is the Kosovo status to be resolved."

"We are still working with the Security Council; we haven't given up this process. It is in all ways preferable to do it with the Security Council," Fried stressed.

Asked whether Kosovo Albanians would be patient, Fried replied: "Kosovo Albanians heard U.S. President Bush. He was very clear. Independence for Kosovo is going to be the

Amazing and frightening how the US is working to its detriment pushing an EU while abandoning self interest.

Thank God for Putin/Russia and few other leaders!

“Amazing and frightening how the US is working to its detriment pushing an EU while abandoning self interest.”

The self interest of the people who have been in charge in this country has been anti Christian in many ways. Why do you think that the ACLU is so successful?

* Samardzic: Choice between EU and Kosmet - false choice*

*Serbian Minister for Kosmet Slobodan Samardzic stated that the choice between the EU and Kosmet a false choice for Serbia.

We categorically reject American invitation for Serbia to accept that a new Albanian state is formed in its territory, Samardzic told the Tanjug. The Serbian Government calls upon the USA to strictly adhere to internationally recognized borders and territorial integrity of Serbia, he said emphasizing that the UN Charter must equally apply for all countries and that Serbia cannot be an exception and the only state whose territory can be seized.*

*Kosmet Serbs do not expect much of UN SC session*

*Political representatives of the Kosmet Serbs do not expect much of the UN Security Council session to be held in New York on Monday when reports on UNMIK’s work and implementation of standards in Kosmet will be discussed.

Member of the Serbian state negotiating team Marko Jaksic
believes that the report on the situation in Kosmet, to be presented to the Security Council on Monday by UNMIK Head Joachim Rucker, will not differ much from the previous beautified reports that deceived the world public in view of the situation in the province.*

(Albanians — “I want it all, I want it all, I want it all, and I want it NOW!”)

Kosovo Albanians seek Balkan border redrawing conference

July 7, 2007 — An unnamed source from the Kosovo Albanian regime in Pristina was quoted by a separatist newspaper Koha Ditore that if the the Ahtisaari plan is trashed in the new round of talks on the status of Kosovo the regime will demand a European conference that will redraw borders in the Balkans.

“If Ahtisaari’s plan failed, or if any change of the document is called for, we will demand an international conference for redefining state borders in the Balkans,” Koha quoted an official from the regime that spoke on the condition of anonymity.

NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried are due to arrive in Pristina as well as EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana.

Solana is likely to officially present the Kosovo Albanian regime with the outline for new round of talks with Belgrade that would likely take place in Brussels.

Serbia had been a valued ally of Britain and America in two World Wars but had found itself the victim of the liberal-bigot interventionism of Bill Clinton when it tried to resist the takeover of its ancient province of Kosovo by crime-prone Albanians (who, once supported by Clinton and Bliar, soon ended up running half the prostitutes in the city of London).

And President George W. Bush, could not resist sucking up to the cheering crowds of Muslims in Albania who expected him soon to hand them Kosovo and put two fingers up to that province's 120,000 Serbs.

They had this summit so they could summer in Dubrovnik on their business and government expense accounts. Nothing serious was going to happen, and they knew it.

Sounds an awful lot like “partition” to me. Let’s see—where have we heard that concept before—Oh yeah. The 1930’s in Czechoslovakia. Yeah, it worked great then.

"Serbia has balls, the Western euroweenies have none

Perfectly summed up. And you have to include the US amongst the de-testicalised masses on this one too.
