A HERO cabbie who took on the Glasgow Airport terror suspects told yesterday how he booted one of them in the privates.
Alex McIlveen, 45, kicked the man, whose body was in flames, so hard that he tore a tendon in his foot.
But he said last night: "He didn't even flinch. I couldn't believe he didn't go down.
"A doctor told me later I'd damaged a tendon in my foot."

My first response to a man exiting a burning car after a vehicular ‘accident’ would be one of rescue-assessment-render aid.
I wonder what it was about this guy’s [ the perp ] behaviour that motivated this lad to kick him in the ‘nads hard enough to damage tendons — which are demonstrably tougher than testes.
Perhaps the perp was saying something a cabbie would recognize as confrontational, eh??? ;-)
Supposedly (unconfirmed), the airport worker who helped take him down went after ol’ Allah Fubar when the Mooslim attacked the policeman that ran over to help him. At which point, several folks (including the cabbie and the airport worker) went Braveheart on the guy’s ass and gave him an old-fashioned Scottish beatdown.

(my guess) in addition to the drugs ... the cabbie likely largely missed the intended soft tissues with his kick — too posterior — and struck bones of the pelvis with his foot, thus injuring his tendons.
Bad technique — he raised his toes as he kicked. Should extended his toes like a karate kick.

This perp will likely be on morphine so long for the burns he suffered that his ball will quit hurting before the agony of his burns abates.
According to a more detailed account that I’ve seen, he saw the terrorist kick and punch two other people which would explain why he realised this wasn’t just a traffic accident.

Part of the treatment I would give this burn victim would be to spray him down with pepper spray to ensure no infection sets in.
