That bill was not about enforcement but about amnesty for illegal immigrants. 34 Democrats and 12 Republicans voted the wrong way Thursday.
Thank God for those 37 Republicans that took a stand and voted Nay on Cloture and did their part to kill the amnesty bill.
Does anyone really think that Hillary, Obama or McCain will really try to enforce the borders or try their part to hit employers that hire illegal immigrants with stiff fines if they are elected president? No.
Hillary, Obama, 32 other Democrats and 12 Republicans slapped 80% of Americans in the face when they voted Yea on Cloture Thursday.
I guess the Chamber of Commerce will vote Democrat!

Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards garnered rousing applause when he said he “would never be for building a wall all the way across our Southern border.” Edwards said he would deploy more personnel and more technology along the border as enforcement measures, while offering illegal immigrants here “an absolute path to citizenship.”
Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York said she was disappointed that the Senate did not move forward with its immigration bill and that the cornerstone of any future measure must be a “path to legalization” for the 12 million undocumented immigrants already here.

There is a path to citizenship for illegal aliens.
Pack up your illegal alien family, go back to where you came from and apply leagally to migrate to America. Once here, after a certain period of time, you can apply to become a citizen.
Now, I am not one of these brilliant Senators. But if I can figure this out, I am sure several hundred million Americans delievered the same message last week.
I would plaster this on billboards from Coast to Coast. Give Americans something to read while they’re stuck in commute traffic.

Hillary and Obama have made it perfectly clear - they want amnesty for 12 million illegal immigrants, they want it even if those illegal immigrants have been convicted of petty crimes, even if they have deportation orders, they want it even if they dont learn English, even if we dont build the border fence, even if the employment system doesnt work.
They want taxpayers to foot the bill for the world’s largest amnesty and they want an out-of-control immigration system.
They are convinced that the electorate are stupid. They are at least half right in that assumption, but I find it so unlike this bunch of pandering zeroes to actually state ahead of time what ther true agenda is. We can’t let any of these losers in the oval office — EVER.

What people must understand is that without the illegal alien vote, estimited to be between 34 and 38 million, Democrats cannot win national elections. This is the reason why Democrats are in a fight to the death to make illegal aliens legal.

Will Sen. Trent Lott (R-Loafer Mouth) hold a news conference to blame talk radio for the defeat of the Immigration Bill?
He just might shove another shoe past his uvula, which for those of you who don’t know, is that little muscle in your throat that looks like a punching bag. The senator from Mississippi surely must have uvula muscle memory now.
Some call it the Immigration Reform Bill, and others call it Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants, but either way, after Thursday’s defeat in the Senate, it’s on the shoulder of the road, face down in the gravel.
President Bush is disappointed, as were Republican politicians serving big business appetites for cheap labor. But the Democratic-controlled Senate had 15 Democrats and one sorta Democrat, the independent Bernie Sanders of Vermont, voting against it, including that paragon of diversity, West Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd (D-Whitesheets). Manufacturing labor unions also opposed it.
But all I hear about are nativist Republicans and talk radio.
Yes, the talkers talked, and got people involved who are concerned about their nation’s sovereignty. Listeners pressured their elected representatives and the bill was killed. Republican and Democratic political operatives courting the growing and influential Latino vote don’t like it. But the founding fathers had this thing for free political speech. How radical.
As the son of immigrants, I would have liked a bill that would help the millions of illegal immigrants here. Many want to become Americans. Most of us don’t want those families shipped back. As a first generation American, growing up while being called a foreigner in my own country, I hoped some immigration bill would pass.
But not this one.
