Hillary Clinton Says She Is “Appalled”
The Florida Politics blog ^ | June 30, 2007 | Brian E. Crowley

Posted on 06/30/2007 4:34:35 PM PDT by Baladas

Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday she is “appalled” by remarks made by Republican Fred Thompson suggesting that some Cuban refugees could be terrorists.

Thompson, an actor and former Tennessee senator, spoke about Cuban refugees Wednesday during an appearance in South Carolina.

The topic was illegal immigration and Thompson’s opposition to any legislation that does not do enough to protect America’s borders.

Using Cuban refugees as an example, Thompson said, “I don’t imagine they’re coming here to bring greetings from Castro. We’re living in the era of the suitcase bomb,”

Clinton, New York’s junior Democratic senator, speaking to a group of Hispanic supporters attending a Disney World convention of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, said “I was appalled when one of the people running for, or about to run for, the Republican nomination talked about Cuban refugees as potential terrorists.”

She said Thompson, “apparently doesn’t have a lot of experience in Florida or anywhere else, and doesn’t know a lot of Cuban-Americans.”

Clarifying his remarks, Thompson posted a response on his website - imwithfred.com - saying he understands how important Cuban Americans have been to this country. He also noted that the Cuban government remains on the state department’s terrorist list.

That is “why we must oppose the illegal immigration of Castro’s agents into the United States while welcoming the vast majority who immigrate legally and with legal intentionns,” said Thompson.

Her husband's administration sure sent that six-year-old back to Fidel in a New York minute.

Hillary's almost making too easy for Fred Thompson here.

What a stench there is in the air.
First is Mrs.Clintons natural aroma. Not good at any time.
Second is the eau de politique she douses over herself to mask her personal Bolshevik inclinations.
And lastly the sour, the bitter fouling of the atmosphere with her blatant FEAR of FRed D. Thompson.

It’s obvious her Hillaryship is trying to drive a wedge between Fred and the GOP, and the generally Republican leaning Cuban Americans of FL. She must think she has a shot at FL. I think not. This reeks of desperation and if it becomes a general election issue in FL she will be on the losing end of the argument.

Is that the stench of bovine excrement because she doesn't know what she is doing or the foul odor of something rancid and poisonous, like a cold, calculating, power-hungry Socialist bitch of a cockroach that lives in the hollow, rotten core of what used to be the Democrat Party?

Perhaps she fears Fred because she knows that he will clean up the house.

I can guarantee you that the Cubans in Florida know exactly what Fred is talking about.

And Fred doesn’t say things like he said unless he has some intelligence data to back it up.

Also I wouldn’t give weight to poor Jeb. His brother foreclosed on his political future and made it so the Bush family is non-grata in those regions of America that are not yet part of Amexico.

Hitlery is "appalled" because Fred is a viable candidate that could stifle her chances at becoming the first USA dictator.

Nothing else appalls her, not even her husband.

Elian was only sent back to Cuba after he was re-indoctrinated at the Wye Plantation. We, the taxpayers, paid for his teachers and friends to come here and ‘study’ with him in his reeducation. I remember thinking how tough it must be to get Disney World out of the mind of a 6 year old boy. The Clintons were the most destructive inhabitants to ever darken the doorstep of the White House.

This is what Fred Thompson said:
“For a while, it didn’t look like Washington was going to listen to us regarding real immigration reform. Thankfully, we’ve been spared a serious mistake, but I wonder if things would have turned out the way they did without the work done by the bloggers, talk radio and the American people. Rush, Hannity, Laura Ingraham, RedState, Powerline, Pajamas Media and a lot of others have done a great job. Take that, Fairness Doctrine.

“Anybody who knows my track record or has read some of the things I’ve written about the Cuban-American community knows where I stand. While the communist dictatorship has been a tragedy for Cuba, America has been in some ways, at least, the beneficiary.

“One of those benefits is the presence of the great Cuban-American artist, Gloria Estefan. She co-wrote a song called “No hay mal que por bien no venga” which I understand translates something like — there’s no bad that doesn’t bring some good. The bad that is Castro’s tyranny has given America one of the greatest communities in the Western Hemisphere.

“And no one knows better than that community that the Castro regime remains dedicated to infiltrating American institutions to spread his ideology of tyranny. Castro admitted it himself in an interview with CNN in 1998.

“This is why the Cuban government rightfully remains on the State Department’s terrorist list for its continued support of terrorism. It’s also why we must oppose the illegal immigration of Castro’s agents into the United States while welcoming the vast majority who immigrate legally and with legal intentions.

“It seems to me that few Americans understand the threat that the illegal entry by Cuban spies represents to our country, though Cuban-Americans have never forgotten or stopped pointing it out. Ambassador Otto Reich, the former Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere has called Castro’s efforts to penetrate U.S. intelligence networks ‘relentless.’

“The best-known incident involving Cuban espionage, which many believe may have provided U.S. secrets to hostile Middle Eastern regimes, is probably that of former Defense Intelligence Agency analyst Ana Belen Montes — convicted of espionage in 2002. Now, our intelligence picture has been further complicated by the emergence of oil-funded Hugo Chavez and his anti-American, pro-Castro regime. We know that Cuban intelligence officers, for instance, are in South America — presumably training Venezuelans and others in the intelligence arts.

“Our national security is too important an issue to let folks twist words around for a one-day headline. Cuban-Americans are among the staunchest opponents of illegal immigration, and especially so when it’s sponsored by the Castro regime. We know we have a porous southern border in which they can currently slip through easily. Our enemies know it too.

“All of us should be rightfully concerned about Castro and his ideological pal Chavez sending agents and provocateurs into the United States through Mexico. I’m sure that Cuban-Americans share this concern as well.

“We’ve seen today what the voice of the people can do in Washington. Let’s hope similar voices can do the same thing for Cuba.”

Was it Governor Clinton and Hillary R standing outside the gate at Camp Chaffee ready to embrace all those Cuban refugee elements released from Castro’s prisons and elsewhere during their mini-riot or what? Christine Todd Whitman said the racial profiling by the Arkansas State Police after the riot belonged to the Clinton Era legacy.

I absolutely believe that if the USA had had a different President during the Clinton years, 9-11 would have been stopped. Anyone else (a non-narcissist) would have taken threats seriously. Bill could not have cared less. Remember when Hillary mentioned Ramadan when talking about the Christmas holidays? She kissed Suha Arafat, too. They were panderers to the Muslim community and let the 9-11 plot go forward unfettered. What I wouldn’t give to find out what was in the documents that Sandy Burgler stole and shredded!
