An Open letter to every elected member of the federal government
6/29/2007 | Me

Posted on 06/29/2007 5:56:13 AM PDT by Bigun

For years now we have been subjected to a steady drumbeat of “it cannot be done” from you with regard to enforcement of our existing immigration laws. We are sick and tired of such and will not tolerate it any longer! You will NEVER convince us that although we can put men on the moon we cannot secure our own borders. That is sophistry of the first order and every one of you is fully aware of the fact.

Enough! Stop it NOW!

Article II Section 3 of the United States Constitution requires that the president …“shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed…”

Every single one of you have sworn to "...support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;..."

Get to it!

Secure the borders!

Enforce the law!

But there will be a full-court press for resurrection of the 'Fairness Doctrine,' for AM radio only.

Now is not the time to let up. We need to pressure our politicians to enforce the existing immigration laws including deporting illegal aliens, building the fence and prosecuting businesses who do business with illegal aliens. The link below is a ping list to pay attention for other questionable legislation being considered in Congress.

If your guy is holed up at private fundraisers (that’s what mine have planned), call the press, the TV, talk radio. Make them come out of their spidey holes and face the voters.

It’s not over. I am more outraged this morning than I was yesterday. How did it come to this? Those Senators tried to stab me and mine right in the back. I want some answers. NOW.

Listen fellow readers. The government willfully and purposefully allowed the problem to become a major problem, so that they could pretend to solve it while at the same forcing on us laws that we don’t want, all “for our own good”.

Now they will let become an even bigger problem so that they can say that “it’s out of control, we gotta do something real fast”, and pass laws that hurt us more.

It’s pretty simple, isn’t it?

Nothing “comprehensive” need be done to seal the southern border - just a double fence that is patrolled and fixed if damaged.

Next, ALLOW (and enforce) employers to verify legal status of employees.

Next, ALLOW law enforcement to verify legal status of those they have contact with, and enforce our deportation laws.

IF, IF, IF, there is a labor shortage when these measures are taken, allow more VERIFIED workers to cross through our border portals, legally.

I say “ALLOW” above, because leftist groups like the ACLU who seek the destruction of American society will fight these measures at every turn.

IMO, it’s past time to start thinking about WHY it is that the ruling class was so hot for the amnesty bill. Until you understand their motivations, what they do to us won’t make sense.

If our laws are such that enforcement is a matter of whim or self interest then we have no laws whatsoever and we will reap a whirlwind.

A ciizens movement is now beyond its initial stages to enforce the immigration laws as they exist. Imagine members of the Minutemen being arrested by the FBI and going to court with the defense: "The President has not executed his oath of office, and it is our right and duty to do what our government refuses to do."

We are on the verge of vigilante-ism to fight a border war which actually exists as we speak.

There IS a border war going on NOW. Thats what the government does not get.

Dear Senators,

As you may now realize, Americans are very determined to see that our Southern Border gets secured, and we are preparing to embark on a major email, letter, FAX, and phone call campaign, every bit as vociferous as the one to defeat the Immigration Bill, to make sure that this happens.

So, consider this email a Heads-Up as to what is in store for the Senate, Homeland Security, and this Administration.

In this very temporary interim, between now, and the beginning of this highly embarassing Citizen Campaign, think of the prestige, and integrity, that might be regained by the Senate, if you Senators began this Border Security process without an extreme amount of pressure from your constituents.

Thank You.

Sincerely,

If Washington refuses to seal the border, thus leaving the free states of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas to act as national doormats, then the people need to take the initiative. There is an alternative, after all:

"A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Governor, call up the militia.

I really think that I-9 verification is the key. The system is up and running. A few tweaks should flag an SS number that has been duplicated, stolen or belongs to someone dead. The fines for employing illegals should be such that it truly hurts a business. Giving and employer a $1000. fine (a number pulled, arbitrairly, out of my rear, BTW) has no teeth if they are making a $25000. profit per year. I’d make the fine equal to a years profit for the company. Then I’d simplify the TN for Mexico system so that employers can still get thier cheap labor but have to pay ss/med and futa for them, and carry liability and workers comp on them. I do think that the free market would handle the issue. For instance, at my company we hire engineers and designers to work on certain projects. We are like an HR department handling payroll and everything else that comes along with it. We pay them and then the client pays us a markup. A shop like ours could handle skilled and unskilled labor, be responsible for the visas, background checks and carrying the liability and wc. The client would have the knowledge that he’s hiring from a pool of eligible workers and the immigrant is being treated fairly and paying taxes into the system. (HEY, any financial backers out there????)

" We are on the verge of vigilante-ism to fight a border war which actually exists as we speak. There IS a border war going on NOW. Thats what the government does not get."

Exactly. And since this is a war, the result of a de-facto invasion, the government should issue letters of marque to anybody that wants one, and allow privateers to round up the illegals, since the government won't, or is unable, to do so. They can issue a cash bounty for every illegal turned into the local ICE office for immediate deportation.

The individual citizens of this country know where the illegals are in their local areas, so the argument that "we can't round them all up" has no credibility!

Sen.Clinton,
you have repeatedly told me that the illegal situation is one of great complexity.
The only complexity here is how will you hide the real agenda which is of a borderless society.
To those of us that are legal, naturalized citizens that entered this country during the 60s,we remember very well all the basic laws and their ENFORCEMENT.
So, once again-—what’s the real agenda here ?

they don’t read their mail anyway-—so the shorter the better.
you’l get the same form letter be it for guns, illegals etc.
.....a very complex situation.

Good business plan, IF you have the legal infrastructure and enforcement to cause a demand.

Such business ideas are higher risk than others that don’t depend on the whims of the laws, lawmakers, and enforcement practices, and should have commensurate returns for that risk.

Remind them that there are 9.5 million Social Scurity accounts where the number doesn’t match the name. Many, if not most, of those accounts are illegal aliens. (I’ll allow for some that are just data-entry errors.) That would be a good place to go looking for illegals.

Remind them that In the National Intelligence Reform Act, which President Bush signed into law in 2005, Congress required the hiring of 10,000 new Border Patrol agents, but the Bush Administration has only asked for funding for 210. Demand full fiunding for our Border Patrol and demand that they be allowed to do their jobs without the threat that they’ll be put in jail if they do.

27 percent of our prison population is illegal aliens.

I would like to see ALL aid cut off to sanctuary cities and to illegals. I would like to see the employers of illegals go to jail. I would like to see a major budget increase for ICE, with the money coming out of our wealth-transfer programs. I would like to see restoration of the rule that all aliens must register at least once a year (preferably more frequently.) And I would also like to see a change in the quotas and reduction of the paperwork required to get here legally.

Help me out. Thanks in advance. Who do we put the pressure on, as being primarily responsible, for the delay in constructing the approved border fence, vehicle barriers, camera towers, etc..., and what is the best way to bring the maximum amount of pressure to bear on these individuals.

I know that GWB is primarily responsible, but he is too well insulated from our pressure. There has to be a way to exert pressure on others, and have them force GWB’s hand.

Whatever fine we impose, they'll consider it business expense and pass it along to you nd me via a price increase on every item they sell. They can't pass along jail time.

There has to be a way to exert pressure on others, and have them force GWB’s hand.

Another legal mandate, like the 10,000 new Border Patrol agents, that he has refused to boey. Ask the bipartisan Senate coalition who voted to kill this piece of...legislation yesterday to launch a Congressional investigation into why the Bush Administration refuses to fund the Border Patrol fully or build the legally-mandated fence. Taht could roil Capitol Hill (and the media) for quite a while, while keeping the issue of secure borders and the reconquista in front of the American people.
