Dear Ann,
In the old days, circa 1950, being an atheist was scandalous, serial monogamy was shocking and ‘shacking up’ was not done by better people. It was even a source of embarrassment to be legitimately medicated past the point of clarity.
Times change. Being relatively free of superstition is no longer considered socially unacceptable. An avowed atheist still has major hurdles in getting elected to office, but don't kid yourself. The population and government is not so godly as the polls show.
The books and open discussion of atheism are part of the process of a philosophy striding out of the shadows. The Enlightenment may come to America after all.
Today, they are all denouncing her for calling Hillary’s legs chubby. Not supposed to comment on someone’s appearance. LOL Since when?
Actually, the data I have seen show that about 25% of liberals describe themselves as creationists. So this is not a fact at all.
I remember the days of no choice media....of Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather on the scene in VietNam, of my liberal rag of a newspaper being my only choice for local news. Of Time and Newsweek and US News and World Report being the magazines that went into "depth" on news stories but who increasingly slanted those stories to the left.
These liberal monopolizers of the news media as their very own propaganda machines want to shut Ann down. They want to shut Mark Levin down. They want to shut Free Republic down.
Thanks, Ann, for giving others a view of courage.....even if your comments are to many outrageous. Though Ann says NOTHING NEAR AS OUTRAGEOUS AS WHAT PELOSI AND REID AND CLINTON AND OBAMA SAY EVERY DAY and those are ELECTED NATIONAL "SERVANTS"---uh SENATORS.
If they don’t beleive in the one true and living God, they are atheists IMO. 25% is a pitiful number, and “creationism” is a pretty liberal word, not necessarily ONE god, but some vague, superior being. Believe what you will, but that is not my God.

Sorry, I guess I didnt make myself clear. I didnt mean to imply that those 25% are the only liberals who believe in God. I was only using that figure to demonstrate how different some liberals are from the way Ann portrays them.
It is no doubt true that atheists are more likely to be liberal than conservative. But that does not support an assertion that liberalism is godless.

Ann is priceless, a combination of Edward R Murrow, Theodore White, Lenny Bruce, Will Rogers and Bob Hope - all packed into an obligatory tiny black dress. No, she doesn’t call names or “defile” public discourse. She approaches liberals with wit and daring, and liberals buckle when faced with either one, let alone both together.
Ann was marvelous, nothing less, in the call-in scuffle with Edwards’ mom-wife. Let mom-wife fight the battles, while weak-willed hubby squats in the wings. Notice how quickly mom-wife claimed her mom status - and how quickly C Mathews and the media chimed in about her “morality.” Some morality, but then the MSM has hardly been a good barometer here.
As for Mr Edwards, former Senator, full-time jury-twister, he calls himself a “fighter,” but scrupulously avoids O’Reilly. Some fighter. Maybe mom-wife will go on The Factor, and again quickly claim her mom status?
What superstition are you referring to?
The reeaally scary part is that the godless liberals are in charge of most “Mainline” Churches.
